    Man that was on point. I don’t know how I missed these videos before. Very practical informative. Electricity can be dangerous and everybody gets complacent one wrong slip of a screwdriver or wire cutters could puncture a pack bad news. I just want to add that when you’re reterminating a connection end always disconnect from the energy source the battery in this case and if you can’t then heat shrink or at least electrical tape one end at a time while you work on the other. One other thing to watch out for is solder creep. Try not to hold the hot tip on any part of the connector more than two seconds and if further repairs required go ahead lay it down work on another connector or sip a beverage for five minutes let it cool down should be cool enough to touch to your chin comfortably. Too much heat in the attached wire strands will cause them to physically suck in more hot liquified solder up in to the cable itself this should be avoided as it adds resistance and leads to torn cable jackets causing dangerous short circuit conditions when the now inflexible cable bends further up away from the connector and it’s hard to fit the pack in to the vehicle battery compartment. Also use a good quality rosin flux the cake tin is good but the best imo is the liquid kind which you can make by mixing cake flux with alcohol in a screw top baby food jar or some other sealable container. Oh btw all tracxas connections should be obliterated with a laser weapon. I purposely won’t buy trx kits due to my dislike for that connector so much. I’m always wondering why xt30 and xt60 aren’t more popular in surface vehicles they’re tough and easy to repair. Tamiya and futaba for life ftw! Peace.

    That was a great video good production quality you’re still photos were on point I’m looking for on Road wheels for Tamaya 1/10 TA08 I’m building for a speed run I’ve scene videos were plastic ones blow apart but I’m concerned that aluminum ones will be too heavy of rolling mass are the Tamaya racing wheels the plastic ones rugged or do they break often?

    • @jtoyauto
      @jtoyauto Рік тому

      The Tamiya wheels should be ok I would imagine, I have a TA05 that I still have plastics on. From my experience the cars that do run and high speed as far as I’m aware usually have plastic. For example poplar cars such as the “Felony” and “limitless kit” are typically seen with plastic rather than aluminum.

      @@jtoyauto I supose that using a adjustable rim, not strong enough is for racing on Tamiya TA07 pro ? or TT02 ? at high speed ? or even a drift wheel ?
