    I’m a big crit racer for racing disks are way better you can modulate and be very precise witch means draft better in and out of the corners save energy but that is it need for 80 percent of riders

    i'm running 46/17 i'm a teen, bigger rider with strong legs been riding this ratio for about 3 years and wanting to jump to 60/17 or 53/17 i ride in suburban streets and some paved somewhat hilly bike trails would this be insane?

    • @danielramos8296
      @danielramos8296 6 місяців тому

      I currently ride a 60/15 as a daily. (It is doable). Just wanted to let you know that everything is slower big gears, especially stopping. 49/16 is a pretty good all rounder if you still want to hit the trails. Not saying to not go big, just don't die.😅

    Hey shredneck, new sub here. I’m about to get this bike in the 130th anniversary edition in about 3 weeks. (The blue version) I can’t find any info on the bike online or on any sort of website. Was wondering what should I keep an eye on for maintaining this bike to last as long as yours. I pretty much don’t plan on buying any more cycles after I get this one. I’ve been wanting to get an upgrade forever as I’ve been riding a cheap single speed for 4 years now. There was another content creator who said the seat collar can strip and I couldn’t find any info on this. So I’m just curious what I should keep an eye out for. I’m super stoked to get this cycle and join my local group rides

    Thanks for this video, after paying someone for a “Proper” bike fit i still ended up adjusting some things after!! Currently I think the same way u do ✅ Quick question i had an awesome Allez sprint rim brake back then im about 5 ft 5 1/2 so at the time i had a 49cm frame with about 100 ml stem felt just right! Slammed and Low very aggressive very fast when i would sprint Long story short i stopped road cycling and got into mtb still doing it But Couple days ago a bought a 52 cm state 6061 bicycle black label Track bike it has a 90mm stem feel too stretched for me im not gonna slam the stem gonna leave some spacers for all around comfort What size stem u recomendad me i ride for this particular bike Ideally i would be back on a 49 cm but i got the bike for a steal like $200 complete Drop bars are specialized 42 cm Any advice would help thanks in advance 🙏🏽👍🏼🙏🏽🙏🏽

    So most people start out on smaller gears. I actually started on a 55-13 then went to a 53-13. Ran those for eight years. We don't have hills but we have inclines. I've since switched to 52- 16 55-16 and 50-16 or 15 for three different bikes. I find it's easier to hold the skids and I'm not spinning. I don't suggest anyone try 13 Tooth cog unless you know for sure your legs and knees can handle it or it will do damage. You have to run a brake with a 13 there is no way you can skid at faster paced you can't snap your knees trying. I'm 59 still riding fixed and I find anything below a 16 tooth cog is not as smooth with big chainrings🌀

    • @borzumo
      @borzumo 5 місяців тому

      48x13 for 12 years no brakes, no problem at all. I believe knees die not from gears but from brain. For sure you can't skid when you go really fast, so don't be safe ride jerk in helmet, be careful

    I feel like the caad12 flexes to much to sprint with. It feels like it twists in different directions when I get out of the saddle and dump some power. It’s really comfortable to cruise around at 200 watts all day. Can’t wait to get a nice stiff bike I can win the group ride sprints on. Looking at the Allez sprint but 3,000 is a lot of money.

      @@unclespliff_productions I have an older specialized mountain bike that is insanely stiff so I’m a fan of specialized. I just want a bike that will go when I do a power dump with the least amount of power loss.
