Living near Wattisham in the late 80s the Sea King SAR flight were regular overflights, which we always rushed out with the children to watch. One Christmas morning we heard it coming mid morning and all ran out to watch it pass, but they were exceptionally low that day. They did pass, but wheeled round our house and dropped lower above the field in front, dipped the nose and flew right at us. The children were beside themselves to see Father Christmas sitting in the open door waving as they flew over again! Once in a lifetime moment

Great to see the old Sea King in the air again she was a real life saver, I was brought up in N Ireland and the Lynx was a big part of our lives I do miss them but not the war.

Is "Junkyard Dog" the B-52 they pulled out of storage at Davis Monthan Air Force Base (The Boneyard) where most aircraft go to die and basically rebuilt her ?. The B-52's will be back, it is going to "Hot Up" I fear in the Middle East, as Syria has fallen and the factions take sides against each other. No longer friends as they got rid of their collective enemy.
