Even though The Object Is lasted only 13 weeks, it showed that Dick Clark was an outstanding host. But the best was yet to come when he took over Missing Links from Ed McMahon after the show moved from NBC to ABC and had bigger success when The $10,000 Pyramid in 1973. It kept him in the public eye after the network cut American Bandstand to only once a week.

I always noticed how Rod Roddy announces through the years. He was full of excitement in the 80s into the 90s. Then towards the end of his tenure you can tell he wasn’t into it.

As a teenager, I used to attend tapings of this show at Metromedia Square in Hollywood. Same studio they used for "Truth or Consequences." Later, Norman Lear moved his sitcoms from Television City over to Metromedia as well because, as legend has it, he had a number of sitcoms in production at the time and Metromedia Square could accommodate all of them.

Was the only time that a player (Randy Crystle)found all 4 Wild Cards in one game?They're so hard to find.The main difference between this and Alex Trebek's Classic Concentration is they show the natural match after an item and wild card on Classic and not on the original one when a wild card is matched with an item say a rec sofa.I like the takes,the green and red.

I guess Concentration was part studio set and part garage.I always loved the bonus numbers,the 9 boxes shown on the double play bonus,the WILD CARDS,free looks.I agree with you completely that Jack Narz is and always will be one of the greatest hosts ever.During the game ,how much did the players have to pick the 2 or 3 numbers as well as solve the puzzle and is 10 seconds enough time to solve 2 puzzles in the bonus round?

Stubby Kaye emceed a children's game show in "Shenanigans". The Ocean Spray cranberry juice spot is v'o'ed by Mandel Kramer. This show is a cross between the classic games "Password" and "You Don't Say". The end game resembles the 1950s classic game "Two For The Money" (1952-56).

This was so much fun I watched mainly because I knew but he Greco very well he and his then wife Dani were often at our home in Manhattan or guests at his performances at New York nightclubs. I also knew Sal Mineo less well and still lament his tragic and untimely death being murdered because he was homosexual. He was a brilliant actor and Buddy was an absolutely fantastic entertainer with a great voice.
