      JEPQ, with its 9%+ yield and monthly payouts, is a solid choice for stable income and moderate growth. Adding 30grand could enhance your ETF portfolio, but ensure it aligns with your risk tolerance and goals. Consulting a finan-cial advsr is also recommended.

      Right, a lot of folks downplay the role of advsors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. During the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advsors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my portfolio has grown by 25% every quarter since Q3 2020.

    I'm not sure I would be this certain. BRICS alone had a lot of heft, and now it is BRICS+ with a projected 40+ nations with at least some participation with key petrodollar participant Saudi Arabia and NATO ally Turkey. It can happen in the medium term if uncertainties continue. Hedging is really attractive to governments and people alike.

    Recently found your channel, subscribed and watching some interesting older content. Curious to see if you revisit outlook videos like this one and discuss how it matched (or not) your expectations and how that informs your 2025 outlook. A lot of indicators a year ago were pointing towards a significant correction, but the opposite happened. Bulls seem to significantly outnumber bears at the start of 2025 so we’ll probably get that correction this year.

    I hope u see this comment. Your argument against covered call ETFs makes a lot of sense, especially since even if you go with "conservative" DIVO its yield is in the mid 4%. At that point your yield is only about 1% or less above an equity dividend ETF which will easily beat DIVO in dividend growth overtime and without limited upside capital growth. DIVO's 5 year dividend growth rate is negative, compared to equity ETFs that have 10% or more. I also agree with your point drawing down from total return vs dividend ETFs EXCEPT during periods of long downturns. Imagine a pure draw down stategy after the tech bubble burst and thru the 2000s - i think you could be left screwed this way. Back then youd be selling shares whos value has bottomed out at 30% or 40% or more down. Granted this strategy can just be buffered by holding large cash buffer or treasuries. Dividend payouts may suffer during this time too but a broad dividend ETF will still pay. I think my ideal setup Im working towards is a portion in broad dividend ETF enough to cover nearly my basic essentials + a broad total market like VTI. excess dividend income will get reinvest back into VTI. Eventually VTI may grow large enough that its <2% yield is enough dividend income itself.

  • @km6731
    @km6731 2 дні тому

    if schd goes down 10 percent, likely it wont still be making 5 percent, it will be higher than 5 percent given it doesnt get cut. The dividend growth is the most import piece to this whole puzzle in my opinion. if that keeps up, price appreciation will naturally follow.

    Wow the ignorance and arrogant stupidity on display here would get you fired as a first year analyst at a bucket shop. 1. Today's interest rates at the short end of the curve are a direct competitor to div funds for those with an intermediate horizon. 2. Growth companies are protected against rates much more than low growth dividend companies because the WACC has a higher risk premium attached due to risky growth. That's all I'll write here because your basic mistakes and arrogant stupidity indicate you're immune to learning. Please everyone, this guy is a grade-A moron.

    retail investors were panicking in late 2022 from the bear market and piled into safer assets. the treasury website crashed due to I-bond purchases. people were "stacking cash" in their HYSAs. and the flavors of the years were JEPI and, of course, SCHD. many retail investors were just looking to stop the bleeding, thus they herded into SCHD as the market bottomed, which is the last place you want to be unless you're extremely scared and risk-averse. what followed was, if you were still optimistic going into 2023, pretty predictable.
