Some interesting work that reads sort of post modern with the patterns, and simplified forms referential to historical architectural elements. If the Americana hotel was raw cement it would be super brutalist. Not exactly sure what defines the genre of Miami or Resort Modern but its kind of fun. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoy your lectures and I appreciate your depth of knowledge and expertise. I have learned a great deal from this series on UA-cam. Thanks you , sir. I also appreciate your informal, and at times, very informative and humorous asides. However, I must say there is too much text and reading to the audience. This cannot be the form of a great lecture, which you are certainly capable of delivering.

The Pirelli Real Estate building is constructed around the evaporative tower of the old Pirelli tire factory. They repurposed the tower by integrating certain functions into it and built the office building around it. It is not a new construction, as in the case of Fuksas' Nuvola in Rome or Gehry's DB Bank in Berlin.
