About me:
Hi! My name is Philip and one of the people behind Lufolk. I have always been interested in the simple things in life. When I look back on history I get inspired and fascinated by the people who came up with all the smart solutions to make our everyday life easier. What you can accomplish with a few tools and great skills is impressive. The first time I got that feeling: I made this! This will be useful! It was when I made a wooden spoon as a kid. I think that was the start, I have ever since been interested in making things.

Admirable works u always produce ! Hugs from brazil
Thank you sir!
I didn't think about the mineral content of that wet clay flux.
Sehr schöne Arbeit. versuche ich gleichbauch mal😅
I have a welder's glove for that. Where I live, I have my forge outside and sometimes it's too cold to dip hands in water.
Yes, but sometimes it’s hard to hold small punches with bulky welding gloves
People indeed like to see how things are made, its how civilization works.
I love having stories about the materials I use to make certain items, myself. Just not blacksmithing. Like slingshots obviously from my username. Example, using wood from a family’s farm that had certain tree I could se a branch from to make them a slingshot. Maybe making micarta sheet from an old pair of jeans. It’s fun, and gives my the item made a deeper meaning to specific new owners.
I agree, it really does. Thanks for sharing!
I needed this today.
Glad you found it helpful!
That's 100% right !
✌😎✌

Thanks brother!
Great video, thank you for sharing your thoughts and craftsmanship.
Thank you very much!
Went through a bit of this lately with other projects I wanted to pursue. I took an afternoon to just make something I had never done before, and focused on the process of creation and let my creativity guide me instead of perfectionist necessity. Was a much more enjoyable experience.
great to hear!
Amazing work, and very well puted profund thoughts
thank you!
❤
Very cool. Very sell able

The words “Self Compassion” struck home... Once I slowed down to stop resenting myself and have some grace, to just... Live. I gained some much-needed perspective. This is precisely what I needed today; it is priceless! Thank you for this. May you be blessed such as you have blessed me!
Thanks for sharing and well said. I am glad you found it helpful. It is easy to forget to live, I hear you.
This came at a time when I am questioning my current career and has inspired me to get over the burnout and follow through with what I started
I am glad it helped! And I wish you all the best

Shedding that stagnant feeling is pure gold
truly is!
So true ,👍🤠
Always a joy to watch
glad to hear!
This is actually really cool I would like to make this
go for it :)
👍🔥🤠
Most ppl fail at the first attempt, you’re doing great, just keep it up and you’ll get better at it over time
Thank you, I will
I am sure when you first tried blacksmithing, you ran into similar problems. To quote the great Jason Nesmith, Commander of the NSEA Protector, "Never give up. Never surrender." Keep at it until you perfect yor skill like you did with blacksmithing.
Great point!
Well said PHILIP . 🔥⚒👍🤠
Thank you!
Never give up mate , If I'm having a bad day I walk away and return with a fresh mind , It works 90% of the time .👍🤠
Sound like a good idea! :)
Great message and cool creating as usual. I've found people in different states (US) may prefer the handmade or the mass produced. Those that like the handmade like the story. Keep telling stories sir. I was fortunate to get some time with my forge today and made a yule goat out of a single bar for an upcoming iron in the hat. Good times.
True, it is not for everyone. Maybe it is good to have the contrast? Glad to hear you like the video, thank you! And great the you could spend some time in the forge today! The feeling/freedom of being able to make the things you need/want is fantastic! I am happy for you.
