Great vid. Very clear. Clarification on not picking the ball up in the ruck (if you're not the halfback) would be useful, and additionally the law about playing the halfback too.

This is an excellent example to analyze. 2:40 - :47 the height and angles of the TH unit are all over place, whereas the green LH unit is nearly equal height and all business. You can serve tea from LH shoulder to Lock bum. This will always win for my money, especially when-as you pointed out-the TH is shifting his weight so much at the "Set." The blue TH gives up his rib cage to a superior unit, and they walk right through him. Proper Prop foot placement and step form are essential, but unit cohesion is crucial, especially if you're a smaller Prop. Second, blue 6 never engages, leaving his TH on an island, while the green engages just enough to ensure they've won the hit.

Well done video. You covered a lot in a very short amount of time. I had to pause it to look at some images and understand each point, but that's OK because I was looking for a short explanation. Thanks!

In England it is now waist or under. Personally, I am done with 'rugby' now, or rather, done with the dilapidated game it has become. Sadly, the current zeitgeist and its narrative have culled (killed) yet another aspect of joy in our society. Good show I say, I applaud those who support this movement of radical sanitisation. You are winning. I am all for player safety, and movements to optimise this within the actual remit and definition of the game, but this is not the game- it is a new one. Personally, the new game does not interest me, and I'm out. Not wasting my time seeing the game I used to love which did me immeasurable good and so many others be destroyed by the narrative of our time.

Mate you want to give the lads a ball who are taking the tackle. It stops the lads from putting their hands down in the tackle which will result in broken hands, wrist and arms later in a real game. Otherwise I love the drill.

See, you can tell this is fake because at 3:13 the player freezes up, John gives him water and he seems to recover. Everyone know when that happens to a forward you give him beer. (For back you use wine-cooler or sangria.) I've played with and without a scrumcap. Doubt it does much to prevent concussions but sure saves ware & tare on the ears and reduces cuts, bumps and bruises to the rest of your head. Can be a bit hot, but other than that I see no disadvantage.
