Waterfall Trail at Rensselaer Technology Park, Troy, New York - 8/28/22
If you ever find yourself in Troy, New York, I recommend tracking down this little gem. Located less than 7 miles (15 minutes) from Old Town Troy, this 2 mile loop offers a little scenic getaway with a well marked trail that weaves through a ravine and along a creek that empties into the Hudson River. The trail features some scenic overlooks and a half dozen small waterfalls. During our late August visit we found the trail to be dry, a full canopy overhead and bug free which made for an enjoyable hike.

    Hi, thanks for sharing. i've replaced all my sensors and do many rides but the tpms light is still blinking. how the sensor knows that is placed into the wheel and not in the shelf? do the sensors need an activation or the vehicule needs a relearn procedure of the new sensors? thanks again and really appreciate your replies.

      I have heard that some sensors need to be woken up with an electronic tool while others are woken by rotating. I’ve only used the kind that wake up with rotation. You will have to investigate your sensors and what is required to wake them.

    Why would you not flush the entire cooling system, as opposed to just the heater core? The crud is being generated in the engine block and in the radiator and the big hoses. The heater core is not generating the crud (because its aluminum).

      I had flushed the entire system twice previously. I probably should’ve refilled with deionized water, but didn’t. Anyway, replacing the heater core fixed the issue to this day.

    Hey guys I’ve been dealing with an overheating issue on my 2012 JKU Rubicon. I replaced the thermostat twice with aftermarket units, because Mopar units had been on back order for a year, and it would still run too hot climbing a hill or when accelerating. What I found is, the aftermarket units are not only junk but are assembled with the spring upside down! I noticed the new one in this video has the spring upside down also! Another thing with most aftermarket units is the struts the spring retainer is mounted on are too short! This reduces the amount the thermostat can open! I have however found an aftermarket on Amazon that is not junk, has the taller struts like the OEM, and is made with an aluminum housing! It’s sold under the name MILIPARTS. I hope this helps. Jimmy

      I don’t know if any of your claims are true, but what I do know is that it’s been 3 years since I published this video and the “Junk” thermostat is still working properly and is well on its way to matching or exceeding the life span of the original.

    I bit the bullet and bought the Autel TS501. I was able to buy their sensors and copy the ID# from the old sensor to the new one. My 2011 Grand Caravan never knew that the sensor was changed. The Autel was expensive, but very valuable. I had sensors that would quit intermittently but work fine at the tire shop. I was able to stop on the side of the road when light came out and find out which sensor was the troublemaker. I went ahead and did all 4 anyway after a few weeks aftera 2nd one failed. They were all from 2011, so if they weren't going bad, they were on borrowed time. Great video. Your bead break method was better than mine.

      Thanks for the tip, but I respectfully disagree. When loosening anything I prefer to pull. It’s safer and more controlled than pushing especially when you don’t know the amount of effort it will take to break. It helps keep me out of the busted knuckles club. 👊🏻

Im not sure you could pull up with them being on that tight. My backs not that good Im always looking for ways to work smarter rather than harder. I have used you method before to break beads. @BecauseAdventure Рік тому

      Hi Jake, This video was by myself. Normally I would like to be with others, but Tigerton can be explored solo as the trails are maintained and the deeper holes have hard bottoms. That being said, getting stuck is a real possibility and having a winch is a good insurance policy. On the weekends the place is pretty popular and you should have no problem joining a group if you’re just a bit out going. It’s been my experience that the organized groups welcome tag-a-longs and always willing to help spot and give advice as needed. You might want to consider joining a local club. There are quite a few in Wisconsin,Illinois & Minnesota. They usually have organized group rides which is a great way to get started, especially since you said that you might be a bit nervous. Just watching others tackle obstacles can go a long way to build your confidence. Where are you from? I might be able to make some suggestions for organizations that you can look into. I myself belong to two clubs, Greater MKE 4X4 out of Milwaukee and Glacial Lake 4X4 out of Appleton. Also, I have like 4 other Tigerton videos that you can check out. Thanks for the kind words!

      It’s not hard if you’re experienced or have a boatload of patience. The trick is to be organized and don’t be in a rush.

    Great video ! Already ordered 4 new sensors for my Liberty .. A little info and tips for you guys; The sensors are numbered as the door latches, which states: 1 - Front Left, 2 - Front Right, 3 - Rear Right, 4 - Rear Left. Another great tip is to take a picture of the back of the sensors before installing, then - if the system won't recognise them - just put them in by their ID using alfaOBD or Jscan or Autel .. Hope this helps :)

    Could the fog lights on the description fit on my jeep 2023 JL ?

      Looks like it, but check your owners manual to be sure. The maintenance section will list the exact replacement bulb type.

    2014 Jeep Wrangler I'm on my third radiator, 4th thermostat and second oil pump 120000 miles and have never off-road it. This is my third Jeep and definitely the last one

      Sorry to hear that you’ve had so many issues. My radiator was replaced once under warranty at 30k, but has been holding strong for the last 50k. Otherwise my 2016 has been solid and our 2022 has been trouble free.

    Hi. Do you have all specs, looks like I'll tackle this same project. I'm only concerned on the relocation of vacuum pump. Your mod is the cleanest out there. Did is sag much in front and how is the setup holding up. If I pay you, could you machine same plate for me?

    • @BecauseAdventure
      @BecauseAdventure Рік тому

      Good luck on your project! There are a number of companies that you can get a vacuum pump relocation bracket from. I choose to modify the existing one just so I didn’t have to change the lines. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be interested in making one, but if you screenshot the video you should be able to replicate with a little trial and error.

      @@BecauseAdventure the winch you use, is it because of dimension and that it fits within the cavity of the bumper?

      @@victorcuevas5179 - I bought the winch first. It was just a happy coincidence that it fit perfectly.

      @@BecauseAdventure Hi, I forgot to ask, you are using a 1/4" gauge plate, is it necessary or could I just purchase a winch plate and adjust accordingly?

    • @BecauseAdventure
      @BecauseAdventure Рік тому

      I would think a winch plate would work, but it needs to be long enough to mount on the frame rails. Some are short to fit between the frame rails.
