Been waiting for this video lol just got a 2024 defender limited and watched a ton of your content about yours
Thanks, still working on editing part 3. I just watched your video of your new ride, it is pretty sweet. Stay safe on the trails.
We’re is this.
Trail 101. It is off the road that goes in by Week's Quarry towards Grand Daddy Hill. You take the first big left and it is about 1.3km north along the 101 trail where there was a culvert until Mr. Beaver and clan did their work and caused it to wash out. Unknown if it has been fixed yet - the local ATV clubs were made aware.
@@CanadianCanAm isn't the 101 Driftclimbers Snowmobile trails
@@jasonbrushett2005 you are correct, in winter, when snow and winter conditions permit, the trail 101 is a designated snowmobile trail and groomed by the local snowmobile clubs. When not being groomed the trail is used by offroad and on road vehicles.
I live close. I’ll have to ride there some time
Awsome ride !! Do you know if the Rawdon campground aloud atvs and side by sides?
I honestly don't know... I guess all it would take is to reach out and ask.
Just subscribed! Can’t wait to hit the trails in my defender this spring. Great machines!
Enjoy and have fun!
How are you liking the defender - I’m torn between commander & defender, the HD9 Cab model defender just seems to be such a good deal to pass up. Just concerned about the trail riding
I enjoy my Defender very much for trail rides but my riding style is more take your time and explore versus blasting down a trail at maximum speed or mudding. I also take frequent breaks while out exploring the trails which I don't show in my videos very often. The "redesigned" Commander had not been introduced and was not an option when I was buying the Defender and based on their style now with the engine in the back I would have seriously considered a Commander for prolonged days on the trail. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy my Defender, it does everything I need and want it do for my personal use and it handles any trail I have been on or want to go on.
@@CanadianCanAm yah I agree - I don’t need to be the fastest I’m usually the last in the group which is the pace I like to keep lol I think for what I use it for which is trail riding Southern NB & runs to the camp either are fine - I think if I was to go no enclosure it would be the commander 700xt , and if I want full enclosure the HD9 Cab is a great price point. You just don’t see a lot of defenders riding the trails you are and I appreciate the footage !
Great detailed video!
Thanks for part 2, went and did pretty much the exact run a few weeks ago.
You're very fortunate. Here in the U.S.,state of Maine they close the trails to ATV/UTVS after first snowfall. It becomes snowmobiles only. They reopen in spring after mud season!
Beautiful trails up there in Canada. I don't care to have a fully enclosed cab on my Defender. It takes away from the off-roading experience. You might as well be riding in a Jeep or Subaru Outback. It does keep your interior cleaner though! I don't bother with a helmet, since I rarely exceed 25 mph when trail riding.
Thank you for posting
Why high range?
I drove through the trail 36 with my truck on like January 19th and that Mazda truck wasn’t burned just abandoned, wonder why someone burned it
I was excited to see that you had posted a new video. I’m on the list for a new Defender Limited this spring. I live in Northern Minnesota and the terrain is nearly identical to yours. We have many trails, mining and forestry roads that span across the whole northern part of our state. I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you
Thank you for watching.
Nice unit.
Love your videos, new to NS, Where is this Wild Blueberry Trail? Thank you
Hey there...welcome to the province and I am glad you are enjoying the videos. This particular video is on the trail system in the Beaver Bank, NS area. The nickname given by a colleague of mine to my SxS was the "Wild Blueberry" due to the colour of it so it kind of stuck. The key trail featured in this video is the trail NS-036 which runs from Brushy Hill in Middle Sackville, NS to the west side of Beaver Bank and joins the main road behind the former Beaver Bank Villa/Radar base. In the end sequence of my most recent video, I put up a map with the track taken overlaid on it so it may answer your exact question of this particular trail location.
Thank you for this. It is much appreciated. I also own a 22 Defender in Oxford Blue. I will most definitely try to check that trail system out. I’m not interested in rocky trails, don’t mind water or mud. I’m retired now, so the fast rugged going is a thing of the past. Happy riding.
How do you find the limited for trail riding?
I find the HD10 Limited really good for trail riding. The seat is comfortable but I often take frequent breaks and stop to stretch my legs from sitting. The rig has gone and done everything I have asked of it on the trails. The cab makes it even better as I find that I am not worried about the weather while I am out and about.
Thank you for this, appreciated.
Good to see that how it performs in Nova Scotia snow
Where is this trail and which golf course please.
The trail system is in the Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia area. This particular golf course is at Lost Creek. The local ATV club has an understanding with the golf course that allows the responsible ATV/SxS operators to use only the designated the golf cart trails to access the ATV trail network in the off season.
Great Video, I live in hrm and its great to see someone local putting out some content. I am considering buying a new defender but have yet to try one……i am wondering how your comfort is while trail riding? Would it be comfortable enough to ride a whole day or potentially a Newfoundland crossing? Thank you
The ride is comfortable for me...its like a tiny pick-up truck so you are sitting more upright than in a sport SxS (i.e Maverick, Commander, RZR, etc) that have a more reclined seat posture. I usually go for all day rides of up to 5 to 6 hours with no issues. The seat provides sufficient support but I do make a lot of stops to stretch my legs. I would be comfortable doing the crossing of Newfoundland on the old railbed and its associated trails.
Nice video. I just ordered a defender hd9 dps cab . 3-4 month wait. I currently have a 2017 commander . I find long trips uncomfortable due to no leg room and reclined seats. . I tried out the defender and really enjoyed it . Lots of leg room for a taller person and the upright seating is perfect for me . Access for maintenance is also great on these machines. NS is on my list of places to ride. Such a beautiful province. I went to university in wolfville back in the mid 90s.
I enjoy these type of Videos. These videos are pretty Rare!!
Glad you like them!
Boy that Cab Is soo Good! wish I have one lol
Cab you Do AC test for the rest of the trail?
Please do more of these videos
Can you Change angle to your Camera? From side to your chin view?
Unfortunately I cannot - I currently use an open face helmet and only have the side of the helmet to work with for the GoPro.
Man your machine sounds so quiet inside! I have an older can am commander and it's so loud inside you haft to wear ear plugs under your helmet.
Too bad you got to go to another country to buy one of these
Great tour! I really like the Defender. I've been looking for a while and deciding between it and the Honda Pioneer. You may have swayed me lol.
Enjoyed the video. Also love my '21 HD8 XT. Next week my Defender will be 13 months old. Already has 4400 kms on it. Only issues all 4 shocks replaced under warranty and an ignition switch replaced, The switch was a known issue.
I opted to find a battery eliminator cable that plugs into a standard USB port. I then purchased a 14,000m-amp battery and run my "all day" power off that. I'm mobile while not on my bike.
Nice video.. I am in Maine, and have been researching the Polaris ranger northstar and the Can am defender limited hd10.. I have decided on the defender. Now, the hard part is finding one..Polaris, you can order anything and take delivery in about 6 weeks, Can am, I need to find one allotted to a dealer .. We shall see...
Is the canam toolbox easily removable?
This cargo box in the back is not part of the LINQ system. It is bolted to the dump box. In order to remove it you have to un-bolt it.
I really like that blue
how long did it take full throttle to get it in? i’m waiting on the same machine from them right now.
In my case, ordered at the beginning of November 2020. Unit arrived from the factory first week of February 2021. Had to wait for a couple of accessories to arrive so they could be installed. End of February 2021 was all ready. I also had the Xmas holiday period which meant the factory was shut down. So for me it was about 4 months for all things considered. I have heard from friends in NFLD that they have waited over 6 months for their new unit.
Nice video! Are there actually vents down by your feet that blow hot/cold air? NOBODY can answer this question on any of their limited video reviews! Have you visually verified this?
Hi there, yes there is a vent on the driver's side to the left of the brake pedal and on the passenger side on the right side of the foot well. I tried to add a picture of the vents but I can't figure out how to add it to this reply. But they do exist. They are same design as the round ones in the dash so you are able to open/close them and direct the air flow as well. Hope this helps.
@@CanadianCanAm Thank you! Yes it does help!
@@kelly4112 8 vents total. I looked into this also. I got this same exact machine even color on order. They said few more weeks who knows I already got the loan and its on my insurance already. They was able to give me the vin number to do all this but cant give me the deliver date.
@@jpbarley yes I took delivery of mine already and they are indeed there. The heater works insanely well! The A/C works ok. I just wish they had vents for the rear passengers like Polaris does.
I’m just wondering maybe I missed it but no toilet paper on board don’t leave home without it!!!! Lol
Hey we should go sometime I live in lantz
Cool to see some trails that I have not been on, I'm going to have to get myself a good gps so I will be more up for new exploring. Nice video!!
Hi. Nice Video!!! And Nice Bike!!! I am considering getting atvs tracks for riding here in Nova Scotia and My occasional trip home to Newfoundland. How well do they perform in deep snow. I know they won't go fast. But I am not into speed. I just want to be able to go in deep snow where a wide track snowmobile can go in deep snow and not get stuck more than a snowmobile. I bought a 750 King quad with the plan to buy tracks.
Hey, do you have GPS coordinates for your starting point, would love to ride the trail sometime, thanks.
is there a way around the gate
+Ryan Foran - The gate no longer exists at the beginning of the video due to the installation of the wind farm in the area. The last time I was through the area, it was open to everyone.
l live in Dartmouth
great videos buddy I live in Enfield go to Renfrew a lot hope to see u on the trails
Can you show me where this road is?? Thanks! :)
+JL Oake - This particular road is called the Old Renfrew Road. It can be accessed from Enfield in a couple of spots. GoogleEarth shows the road.
Nice video, looks like the Rossley Rd.gate
Richard Blunden You are correct - I was trying not to give away too many fishing hole locations. LOL
Great ride!!! Where'd you get your camera at? I would love to film my rides like this one! I only use my little travel camera on mine :(
Brooke Nichols-enox It is a GoPro Hero 3 Silver that I purchased at Best Buy. I have it mounted on the side of my helmet using the GoPro mounts as I have a modular helmet. You can download the GoPro software for editing videos (I purchased other editing software that I find easier to use) and there is a App that allows me to control the camera via WIFI from a smartphone and/or tablet if required.
Alright sweet! I'll be looking into it
Hi there been enjoying your videos! I just bought 2 atvs and want to get involved in riding here in nova Scotia. I bought a 2015 suzuki 750 and a 2005 polaris. My long term plan is to put tracks on the 2015 and bring it home to Newfoundland when i make my anual snowmobile trip. How are the tracks in deep snow? Also any suggestion for trails or clubs or maps? MY EMAIL IS INFO @ ATLANTICAUDIOPRO.COM
Looks great! With all the snow now, you need the tracks to go anywhere. Ive parked my 4 wheeler for a while and I'm running my 77 340 Olympique now till the snow goes away a bit
Hey I watch a lot of cubbeexz videos and I was looking for another person who talks while rides and I finally found your channel. I find your videos too long maybe you should try cutting out some boring parts to make it around 20 min just so you don't loose the viewer cuz 50min is very long just a suggestion
