Fantastic video thanks for sharing. Never seen a cygnet on its parent's back before. We have quite a few near to me which have also suffered at the hands of predators. Sadly even for the Giant of UK waterbirds they are very vulnerable when very young
dream bird for photographer. live in u.s and we only have the belted kingfisher. still pretty but no where near as beautiful.

It was not to bad but ive had much better there before the barn owl came out as i walked down the path light was fading fast so i left it and just watched for a bit my highligh was i see 2 sparrowhawks on that day i will go back once the marsh harriers young fledge thanks michael

Looks like you had a good day at Elmley, the pictures of the Owls are excellent - well done. I've been visiting Elmley on a regular basis over the last five years and have yet been able to find the Bearded Tits!!

Nice video mate, looks like it is an interesting place.
It is a good place first time ive been to get in you need to get a key from the warden also heres a bit about it i found on google Lemsford Springs is a small nature reserve and contains an old watercress bed which is a valuable habitat - particularly for waterbirds, as it does not freeze in cold winter weather. Water rail, snipe, and the green sandpiper may be seen from the hides. The green sandpiper feeds on the shrimps which are abundant in the freshwater lagoons. The lagoons also support fifty species of water snail.

RyeMeads can be difficult in the summer for the Kingfishers as the pond really scums over. Well worth the try though.

@@KGsPhotography i got a nikon 200-500mm was going to go for a prime lens but thought nah as i need to be able to zoom in and out i got the second lens as i got 2 cameras so i can use one for photos one for video now need a decent tripod i find my videos need to improve a bit there a little shakey but with a ball head tripod it will be like that
