Recycling Taka Taka in Zanzibar Fashion Show
Recycling is one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world in which we live. Recycling is important to both the natural environment and us. We must act fast as the amount of waste we create is increasing all the time.
This recycling fashion show was organized by Hamasa Environmental club for the main purpose of encouraging and giving awareness to the people on reducing the use of plastics as well as not to throw it away instead of reusing it(recycle), and Taka Taka is the Swahili phrase which means waste.
All of these designs are made out of plastic bags, plastic glasses, plastic bottles, plastic bottles cap newspapers and other plastics and paper materials.
Designers: Amina Pira, Washaudi, Princess Zenji Collection.
Location: Emerson Spice Zanzibar Hotel, and outdoor Stone Town Streets.

Very rare to see such and I hope he writes more books. It was great listening to him and Ben Wazir together. Ahsante sana Ramadhan Ali.
