My personal experience with cops has been bad. My wife will call the police on me and say that i grabbed her. The last time i literally gave her a hug and told her i love her. The other times ive never even touched her. Its costed me over 10k in legal fees. She has used the police as a weapon against me.

You became a police officer because you don't have any other skills and that dude that's in the academy way to throw your whole life away dude it's not a good thing to be a police officer nowadays, you can get shot, killed, or get your pension taken away and get your ass sued!

I’m glad we have people like him in law enforcement, but I think civilian police forces are way too militarized. This man sounds professional and is likely an excellent police officer. But I think we need more people in law enforcement who aren’t prior military. Police forces need to create more incentives to get people from other career fields to make the jump, while at the same time continuing to hire excellent people like this gentleman. It would balance things out a bit more in my view.
