Who in US would believe to some KGB agent? Nobody, they always thought that Russians is a silly barbarians who couldnt handle themselves. US also played a big role to destroy USSR as a state, and very efficiently demoralized Russian people. They fooled Russians a lot of times, in 90s when USSR dissolved US behaved like now we can build a friendship and stabilize relationships, but since mid-90s they continued NATO expansion to Russia's borders, they fooled Russians again. When Russia was as weak as possible and even tried to join NATO, US anyway kept doing everything to demoralize it, just spitting in its face. But Russia dont forget it. Otto von Bismarck said: "Make alliances with anyone, start any wars, but never touch the Russians." You deserve everything you getting now, you made a big mistake. Russia doesnt stronger than US in terms of military or economics, but Russia have nothing to lose, they know that US is not going to leave them alone. Americans will know how much freedom really costs.

He's wrong in thinking that they can't change, they can change, but it's going to take a lot of suffering. You see, if you suffer enough, you'll cast off your own yoke, it's biblical. Though you might not understand, everyone written of in the Bible actually came to overthrow and redeem demoralized people. Gideon thought like this guy, in saying that he wouldn't be their king, he was saying that the people are unleadable, ie, they had been demoralized, so he died and nothing changed. I have a covenant, it is to suffer for God, and through it, I have learned the purpose in suffering, and I don't think society can change without it. I think that's why the Bible says that their savior came too late, but it's not they came too late, just no one was willing to listen and everyone in power was undermining and sabotaging what they were trying to do, so the people have to suffer until they topple.
