What do you eat this with?
I usually do sautéed string beans, Chinese Buffet style mushrooms, and rice or lo mein. I know some people who make it as a side dish for a regular weekday dinner. The choice is up to you.

Gonna try making this soon. I can't say I've ever had this dish from a chinese buffet but it looks/sounds good, like a big ol' crab rangoon casserole. I think some crispy wonton strips thrown onto the top after it is done, to add a bit of crunch, might set it off nicely too.
They used scallion or green onion ....no celery
Different restaurants use different ingredients. Most of the places I've gone to have used both celery and green onions. Use whatever works for your pallet. 😊

I used the larger box of jello for this recipe but feel free to use the smaller boxes. If you are going to use a smaller box of jello, I recommend 2 small boxes for one cake.

I just made this for the second time. It's a great recipe. I recommend cutting the amount of old bay in half... A full tablespoon took it just over the edge of unpleasantly salty for my family.
