This sounds like what I want to do to retain the center console functionality. I want to put my thumb drive hidden in there. So did you use the USB cable that came with the kit and replace the cigarette lighter in the dash as well? I guess I missed something. It looks like you bought a cable with both a USB and an HDMI connection. Any chance you could provide links to the products?
Yeah there are some additional cables. I posted the three links up at the top. There should be a drop down arrow right below the video, under the description.

No earthquakes, just a lot of geysers.
When u were out by the lake did u smell sulfur or see alot of dead fish?
Several places had the smell of sulfur, but the lake was fresh and pleasant.
