Tried this several times. Can’t see where to put some of the stitches, especially the ones in the chain one space. Unfortunately had to give up. 😔

Not sure how to respond below. I am new to crochet. I am wondering how many stitches I woud make to prepare the border. So on the side of the runner how many stitches are there for each 9 rows. I have read that we should put 2 stitches for each double crochet and 1 stitch for each single crochet. So would that mean that I have to put 14 stitches as row 3 and 7 were single? Your instructions for the design were so easy to follow. Would you be able to make a part 3 to show how to prepare the edge for a border, Thanks
