I’ve been waiting for this one!!! I read all of these back in the day, and it was really interesting to hear your POV. This makes me want to re-read some of these. 😅I’m a big fan of the Anthropocene Reviewed tbh. That’s the only book of his I read in college, the rest were during middle school/high school I believe

i read turtles all the way down last year, and i can confidently say it altered my life and thought process. its not about the character and relationships in my opinion, but more of the experiences that they went through and how they talk and reflect on it. it really gave me a like whole new personality if you know what i mean. definitely a favorite of mine.

i read all of his books by the time i was 15 and i think they really shaped me to be who i am today lol i remember the point of paper towns being "a person is not your idea of who they are, they're just a person" and that came to me at a time when boys liked me but only because of their idea of me, so i really related to both margot and quentin, since i tended to also make up stories about the boys i had crushes on and how i imagined they were. i read alaska more than twice from what i recall, and i remember just finding her so cool, but still feeling really sorry for her. i never really liked katherines and i don't recall anything about tfios except crying so much from augustus dying lol being a teen when these came out definitely helped me relate to the characters and their problems, i'm scared of reading them now and realizing they're not as good as i once thought! anyway, sorry for the long comment, just really feel fond of john's books and wanted to put my feeling out here hehe

I can see the plethora of knowledge you have about these books but I think the video could have improved in quality if there was more structure to it. It feels like rambling most of the time with the fast pace speech and quickly jumping from one point to another before I can digest any of the information. I think following a loose script or maybe just bullet points of what to cover for every book would help the viewer follow along better. I really hope this comes off the right way and you see this as constructive criticism. I look forward to your next upload!

the anthropocene reviewed actually changed my brain chemistry in high school, it feels a little different to read it now but I’m still a huge fan

The first four books you mentioned I am definitely going to be reading in October!! I sort of feel like I will be reading the same book over and over but I'm here for it. I will keep your other recommendations on my radar. I had no idea some of the books you have in the romance category fall into that genre. A Little Life is rougghhhh but I would love to see a reading vlog for that one. Jane Eyre is PERFECT for fall!
