This song is literally about how empty a town feels when your lover isn't there those little Italian fish boys are gay

As an Italian I can say all these ideas highlighting kids love / sexual attraction (gay or not) seems to be excessive to me. There is strong friendship here and, I can tell, all kids in Italy returning to town after long seaside summer holidays feel the exact same. I'd rather highlight this as story about migration to big cities and the very hard decision to leave hometown in small villages, for which many Italians have strong roots and very deep feelings. You can't even believe how much regional or local identity is important for our people! Also let's stop putting love stories in all Disney Movies, damn!

Look at this as a forshadowing of Alberto and Luca true relation, either them being friend or lover doesn't matters, see what you want, this movie was a pure spark of innocence and positive emotion

I don't get why they chose a love song and pretend that "this is not about a couple". The song literally talks about this person living far away from their lover and want it with them in this big city that feels empty without him... come on guys. I don't get why people get mad if someone say that it could be a gay story, they didn't showed us gross stuff, it's an adorable movie. So why are you mad? Ya'll they aren't gay, the creator has said that they aren't multiple times. You guys just like to make everything and anything about you. The creator is obviously uncomfortable about it too since its based on the story of him and his friend. If you guys call me homophobic cause of this it literally just proves my point more.
