I really think most people don’t realize that at heavy weights the conventional deadlift will almost always slow down at top. That’s the strength curve of the lift. You then rate how much it “slowed down” to really know how hard it really was for him. Elite powerlifters and strongman have a different level of “grind”. I don’t think we can really say he doesn’t have it cause of this lift. He most likely did this in training , so fatigue most likely is high.
We can definitely safely say he doesn't have it. Thor had 505 in him - watch his 470 in training to see what weights like that should move like in training

Can we give him props for this instead of sitting on him? He's 10 inches shorter than thor and thor weighs over a third extra of Hicksy's bodyweight! For his size he must be the world's strongest DLr, if he was thors size we'd all be talking about who will be breaking Hicksy's 540 record.

@@adamaslam750 hi Adam, close grip bench is used over say a tricep pushdown as it’s recruits the medial head far more for better all round development. Also Graham is the current U.K. powerlifting champion with a total of 1,100kg he does understand the way to develop godly strength.
the reduced rom from the pad takes some pressure off of his shoulders at the bottom so he can keep training the proper bench grip without taxing his shoulders and hit heavy weights more often is my conclusion
