You should have drilled a hole atbthe end of that crack its going to come backbeverytime if you dont drill a lil pilot hole at end of crack but you prob new that already

.270 loaded to it's full potential is a cartridge that kinda makes that "need" for a 7mm Magnum a bit less real for most of us. Find me a deer hunting scenario that requires more than a .270 and you have found me a real unicorn.

Im on a severe budget and fell in love with this bow in the store. Seemed too good to be true. But after seeing your groups im 💯 sold i want this bow. Hopefully in the next month or so i will have one

My Rem 700-270 is a fine piece of hunting equipment. It is a factory production run rifle before they started the limited run models. It's very accurate,but recoil tends to be pretty stiff; my son calls it "The Angry Mule". It's very accurate and not picky at all about the ammo you feed it.

Nothing wrong with that scope. Those old Tasco's were actually quite well made back in the day. The 3" group is due to your set up at the bench. Very unstable.

How did it hold up?

Would have saved yourself a whole lot of time grinding and brazing had you read the directions. You have to heat up the metal then scratch it back and forth into the gap.

You are not actually showing how you are adjusting the sight. Are you using some sort of tool? What do you mean clicks?

What brand of lens is that 8 power?

I have that same exact solo cam Mathews. My buddy dry fired it near my face by mistake years ago and I hit the deck. When I finally got the courage to look up sure enough the Mathews was okay in one piece 🤷🏽‍♂️

Tell me about those victory tko. I just got 1/2 doz with a bow i got off a guy(Traverse) and man they seem like some really nice arrows! i have never used victory tko before. nice shooting man. I. working on tuning this new Traverse up. Have a low tear in still need to get rid of. I have 2 of them. one of my all time favorite bows.

What vanes are those on Dads arrows ?

Pin nocks all the way. Appropriately sized bushing & Gold Tip Mini HD Pin Nocks for target. The only other nock I would shoot would be lighted & with the progression of tech, I see lighted pin nocks in our not so distant future.

Why did you choose the VTM? Also what length bars? The way you feel about that bow is how i feel about the Mathews Traverse. Im looking to get a Hoyt bow set up for my general shooting. I do best with bows 33-35” even for indoor target.

I think Hoyt has the most comfortable grip on any bow.So many good bows to choose from today.Hoyt or bowtech will be my next bow.

Sweet! It’s awesome when a bow just feels so right. Like it fits your body. Better keep this one for TAC. I’ve always liked shooting groups for whatever reason and busting up arrows is just part of it for me. Be cool to see you using this at a local 3-d which I know isn’t your favorite game. But, those target closeup shots make for great visuals. 👍👍( thinking I’ll go out and check my broadhead flight now)

Why not set the indicator pin at 60 since it’s sitting at 60 when you’re done? Then just adjust the dial to 40 lock it down and then sight in 20 and 30.
