I've been doing drywall taping and painting on stilts for 35 years. Dura stilts are the best. These Skywalker stilts suck ass. 90% of the reviews say they all had trouble with the straps breaking. These are clunky, and you lose your balance easily. Way more expensive than the durastilts. And totally not worth it. That's why they don't make them anymore.

These boxes are quite expensive,but they really are worth it. I bought a set almost 20 years ago now and they worked great for many years. They've recently began to wear out. My 12 no longer seems to expel the mud,but my 10 still works. Its falling apart,but still working.Kinda like me!

I have one of these, and I don't like it. Might just be the one I got. I know a few other folks who have one and they like it.

Shit. I've been doing it wrong all this time! I have the same tool, but I've been just scoring it on one side, then wondering why I've been tear the entire back out of the sheet when I go to pop it out with the hammer. Gotta crap load of drywall to do tomorrow in 3 bathrooms....this video has saved me tons of time! Thx!!!!!

In Australia ,we use plenty of glue to fasten the sheets so there is no need to use so many screws in the middle of the sheet This is standard practice here

im the only 1 to notice that they have the structure set to 60 cm (i think the board is 120 cm) and the screws to 100cm!!!!

In Australia, we use stilts all the time. The only way to do jobs fast and make money.

I have used a mud box as an apprentice, they are shit. I used mainly a banjo. Since becoming tradesman, and starting my own contracting business I purchased a Bazooka, So even though I have a $6000 system sitting in my garage, I still use the $100 Homax as my weapon of choice for all taping.

In australia, because we use glue on all sheets, there is only one double screw per stud/joist in the centre of each ceiling sheet, so using a nail spotter box like it the US is cumbersome, makes for a poor job, and HEAPS of excess sanding.

I totally agree with MrAirshot. Mastering this tool is a understatement. I wish I could work with this gentlemen for a few days. I've watched this video so many times. Love to see a longer version of the Homax video from dooruk37 someday soon. Great job.

no durabond on the joints, doing screws in singles, doesn't clean with the flat side of his knife scraps it with the edge amateurs, even the guys who boarded that room are amateurs.

i have a homax banjo but it dont run as smooth as that 1 even with thinning the mud as much as i could

Im not having any trouble with anything except cutting the tape while doing internals. Seems like pulling it out of the corner and laying it flat on the wall right before cutting is working the best. I fill mine with a pump so it goes pretty fast

ive got 3 of these best advise is to buy a couple these babies and like vesdrdrywall said got to thin the mud. No blisters or bubles and does internals well, you just got to practice a little. Tip get someone to prefill the extra banjo to keep production time up takes 15 seconds to fill...

Ok so i bought one of these and its pretty badass. I definately like its weight, the lightest banjo i have ever used. One question though im having problems with cutting the tape when im doing corners. Any suggestions or tips. Thanks

@VETSDRYWALL was just curious if you bought this particular banjo or another one. i only ask because i have a few banjos and was wondering if this one was any good. especially since its plastic or at least looks like one
