Probably not how you spent your New Year’s Day! But sorting, tagging, banding and wrestling with 6 month old Bull calves and a “concerned” momma was how we started out 2025 🤠

Shipping Container conundrum!

Last week, the “delivery driver“ did less than a stellar job of getting the shipping container where it was supposed to be. So it looks like I’ve got to Git R Done myself!

Our BACON SEEDS are growing nicely given the unseasonably cold weather we’ve already had this fall. But they still aren’t potty trained. Time to get things cleaned up and dried out.

Even though it’s Sunday, I had to put in a few hours of “unrest“ to try and complete this headgate feeder project. Will this be the final installment of our latest Farm creation?

Here’s how Allison Crane & Rigging replaced a 123 year old, 64,000lb. railroad bridge with a brand new 100,000lb. one in 15hrs. It was a looooong night “out here” in Owego, NY but when you collaborate with the best in the industry, it makes it more fun than work!

Your videos are not SEO-friendly. you must do video SEO to get good results. SEO increases views, If you can increase the views, you will be able to advance your channel a lot. What is the benefit of making a video so hard? If views, likes, subscribers are not? So I say, first organize the channel nicely, SEO the videos and then release the videos, then you will get good results. Beautiful! They remind me of Santa Gertrudis crossed over red angus
They are 37.5% Buffalo.
What is the percentage of buffalo and is that in the sire or the dam?
How did you get the parts ? Individually or all together? I assume they were used. I’m looking to see where I could get the parts.
Did you breed your own beefalo or did you buy?
2 years ago baled 17th of Nov and im about 2 hours north of you
With the fuel tank being positioned behind the seat/cab it makes for a tight fit in the cab.
Used to work for some friends on their dairy. Ran a 9’ Deere discbine on a886 over a lot of acres. They are one of my favorite tractors ever. It’s still going, they were planting sweet corn with it last week.
Me and Andrew got the Farmall M on the square baler the 1086 on the vermeer 604 round baler the 3388 2+2 on the new hollow 1431 disc bine and the white and case backhoe on round bale moving duty
Im glad it went to a good home me and Andrew put alot of blood sweat tears money and hours into it if your ever out this way again and were at the farm please stop by and see what else we drug home
You said they would eat everything evenly, including broom or weeds?
How’s their horn growth?
The dog should no have to tell you when there is a car coming!😋
Babe has a mask on. Haha. We drove by yesterday and Charlie say him and went "Aww Baby!"
do you rotate grazing areas? Is the value that the beefalo will evenly eat the grass in a fixed grazing area? would virtual fences help traditional cow ranchers avoid over-grazing?
Yes we rotational graze them through 1 acre paddocks. Generally moved every week depending on forage growth.
As a farm kid in SoDak in the 70's, I recall one of our neighbors experimenting with beefalo. I'm curious how the breed may have changed since then.... as their experience wasn't the best - I remember them being pretty wild and wooly to deal with. Yours also look much more "cow-like" (and tame!) than what I remember. Also, I'm curious how you market the meat?
I worked afternoons, weekends and Summers for my high school biology teacher. He interbred cow and buffalo. This was in North GA in the late 1990’s early 2000’s.
It’s a lot leaner than grain fed and has a taste all its own!
Great stuff thanks for explaining the reason to have them. Have you noticed a difference in the taste or texture of the meat compared to 100percent cow?
The texture and taste is more due to them 100% grass-fed.
Good day from Ontario I remember sitting on one at dealer lot I thought too nice tractor. Good luck Ths
Great video, perhaps try lowering the background music
It looks like you are really enjoying yourself on your farm in all these videos!
I grew up on a 886 with a m and w turbo great planting and hay tractor my favorite tractor
Congrats on the new machine. Shove some blocks at the trailer tires when loading/unloading so your trans park pin doesn't get hammered. I restored a 1086 a few years ago. Doors and new cab metal are pretty easy to do. Triple R Tractors & ASAP has everything.
The Red Power Farm will be back to its former glory before long, Randy!
They both look like they've been rode hard in their lifetime. I grew up on a 656 Hydro and a Hydro 100 along with a 504 and 544 utility and an 886; loved them all. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed week.
Velvet was reminding me of a dog running around like that haha!
2 of IH's best models, but not those 2 particular tractors. I have an 856 and it will be the last one to leave for sure. For hay work I also have a 656 Hydro for the wrapper and the square baler and a 966 Hydro for the round baler. If you can find a decent Hydro model that would be the ticket. Good luck. Tractor shopping can be fun, but it also can be very tiresome at the same time.
I too looked at the 826. I actually ran it around the yard and was surprised the hydro seemed ok. I did pass on it as well, she's tired
Great work sir.
Hello
Pigs, not pig's.
I'd suggest Harry and Meghan, but 'em pigs didn't do nothin' to deserve the disrespect.
Petunia and Porky
Nice video. This is Hart Houseknecht and we were combining on the other side of the road today. Pretty cool to see two combines going at the same time so close to each other.
