Cat Stevens - Where Do The Children Play
Thanks for your bravery!
What could be worse than our children to curse, us, as they inherit a wasteland ! Cat wrote this song over 50 years ago Homo Sapiens, our folly proceeds !

Beautiful... Thank you, Cat!
This is so apropos at this time. 2024
Lyrics so relevant even today!
Where do the children play nowadays ? 😢😢😢
Unfortunately today’s children play on what’s known as their “devices”. I played outside with my friends and rode my bike for more miles than I can even count. I loved playing in fields and made BMX bike tracks out of them, road trails in the woods on my bike. Gosh times were so much fun back then. Now all that’s left are the great memories of where us children played.
Wow…you posted this video 2006.. great.
Thank you Cat....goodnight and my love....all of it....Charlana. Bruce jr....and little mr Jonathan?
And where are we all tonight....? Nowhere I want to be.....the slums of nyc..... 2:31
The family is rich and fine.....thank God.....got rid of nyc.....

Comment if you are watching this in 2023
Quel grand artiste. Quelle époque musicale fabuleuse.
Cela me fait ravivre le vieux souvenir, que j'ai perdu dans le passé. I remember that song when i was a kid still love it❤
Saw him at Massey Hall, Toronto, Ontario, Canada 1972 I think. Love the music still
Wow, he's brilliant live!! 🥰🥰 the best voice and his songs
Maravilhoso.// Vitória Mendes./ SP Brasil
Why .?
why what?
Because this question is always worth an answer. I do not judge his religious choices, how could I? It’s his life to live. But a man of music that offered it to the world, then left in such a drastic change. No judgement, but why? What did he find??
Avevo 13 anni.
Cat Stevens Always sweet, lovely music and good memories. Love him forever❤❤❤
Such a shame he embraced a Dark Age hate faith. Remember folks, Yusuf Islam is his slave name.
Still have your original albums, your lyrics resonate even more today.
A sweet song and a great live performance ! Cat Stevens for me is one of the best singer of ever : voice, guitar ,talent and many wonderful songs..thanks from Italy
I think I am singing this song several times a day since more than 40 years. Always beginning soft and smooth, but intensifying with every verse until the end, crying out the words with great fervour. Under the shower, on my bike, in the car or just now with my guitar. The song ist not only true and beautiful, it gives me a certain impression of what humanity is capable to do without caring for it. Just a little bit. ;-))
I am well into my 60 years and retired teacher in South Africa this is a song and all Cat Stevens songs we had on lp long playing records for you young ones love them this is something special
@@priscillakunneke8395 In fact, it is! Greetings from Germany to South Africa! 🙂
Música maravilhosa
My brother loved Cat Steven's, Joni Mitchell, Joan Biaz and Melanie. I was a Led Zeppelin kind of guy. My brother was haunted by the demons of his life and recently passed away well before his time. So I found myself downloading his music to my Spotify and listening to his music as I headed north up Pacific coast highway. This song came on and before it was even half over I had to pull over I was crying so hard. God bless you Cliff, I hope you finally are at peace where the children play.
DAD ... i miss you 😌🥰

Sublime mélodie grande chanson
Well I think it's fine, building jumbo planes Or taking a ride on a cosmic train Switch on summer from a slot machine Yes, get what you want to if you want Cause you can get anything I know we've come a long way We're changing day to day But tell me, where do the children play? Well you roll on roads over fresh green grass For your lorry loads pumping petrol gas And you make them long, and you make them tough But they just go on and on, and it seems that you can't get off Oh, I know we've come a long way We're changing day to day But tell me, where do the children play? Well you've cracked the sky, scrapers fill the air But will you keep on building higher 'Til there's no more room up there? Will you make us laugh, will you make us cry? Will you tell us when to live, will you tell us when to die? I know we've come a long way We're changing day to day But tell me, where do the children play
