    Since when did low tied have a 9 sit start? Or have I just been calling that the 6 start all these years?

    • @ethanpringle
      @ethanpringle 5 днів тому

      I think we (Jesse and co?) were under the impression the sit was 9, but clearly we were mistaken. Sorry! We shoulda fact-checked our grades more thoroughly. Next time. Although I think the fact that Jesse thought it was a 9 and didn’t offer a downgrade speaks to its stiffness? Maybe it should be 9? 🤐

    Very good, but next time please don't "fast forward" during the actual climbing! Don't tell me that people have so little patience that they cannot even see a short boulder climb all the way through. The smooth, almost ballet-like movement is what makes the top climbers so impressive to watch; it touches the soul.

    • @ethanpringle
      @ethanpringle 3 місяці тому

      Well none of the boulders we did actually have bolts. We theorized that some “could” if they were at a sport-climbing area. But most of them were actually pretty safe with enough pads

    Why don't you put grades on the boulder problems?, is it that " trying to be too cool" factor?.

    • @ethanpringle
      @ethanpringle 3 місяці тому

      Part of it is that I think our grading system is extremely flawed. I think every problem deserves a range. In my experience, grades can cheapen the experience and put what the viewer is watching into a box, into a hierarchy and into a ranking. This film was less about hard sends and more about telling a story of my relationship with fear.
