Long time UFO fan from the early days. I would put Black and Blue right up there with there 70's classics. Andy Parkers drumming especially in the intro is perhaps the toughest drumming I have ever heard. From anyone including Joey Jordison, Neil Peart and Nicko McBRain. No high hat, no ride just bashing the bejeezus out of the skins. Then in the chorus he starts in on the ride - absolutely perfect drumming from a very underrated drummer. I bet they had to change the skins after each take. Vinnie is tasteful in his fills and his leads no over doing it and very technically proficient and pleasing to the ears - and of course Pete's sinister bass is right where it needs to be. Paul Raymonds main contribution is writing the frigging song and what a kick ass song it is. And nothing needs to be said about Phil Moggs understated delivery and lyrics - falling down stairs falling out of cars, lying in the gutter looking at the stars????? Brilliant!!! God I LOVE this band!!

Vinnie moore was a shred guitar player before joining UFO, he's not playing on the ufo albums the way he did, I mean he tries hard not to shred, but even so, his lead guitar parts are fantastic

i found UFO in the early 70's and they have been one of my favorite bands since. First time live was at the Milwaukee arena... Judas Priest opened for them with their Hell Bent For Leather tour while UFO was sporting Lights Out! What an era of music. 15 years later i saw them at the Eagles club in Milwaukee for their reunion tour with michael schenker. I met them back stage and discovered that they are a real nice bunch of guys doing something not many bands can do... survive! Cheers to Phil, Michael, Pete, And Andy! thanks for all the great music over the years!
