The Doctrines of Man (Pt. 4) - Marriage Roles - Wives

I’m going to be tackling the challenging topic of marriage rolls as seen in Ephesians 5:22-33. This can often be an uncomfortable topic for some, but I think that mainly stems from the misuse and misunderstanding of this passage. Here, Paul explains how Christian husbands and wives should apply their understanding of salvation within their marriage. Always remember: in essentials, unity; in non...

But tonight, we are covering: what is marriage and why is it important? Is marriage defined by the state or by God? Many m...
The Doctrines of Man (Pt. 2) - Male and Female

God’s design is good in relation to how God chose to make us - as male and female. I know in our current culture; this topic can be very heated. My aim though is not to be intentionally antagonistic or to even be derogatory, but to help us gain understanding that God’s design isn’t arbitrary, but rather His design is good, intentional, and purposeful according to a Biblical worldview. Always re...

The Doctrine of the Word of God (Pt. 1) - What is The Word of God?
Brilliant! A beautiful doctrine stated in a godly manner.
Paul's entire narrative contradicts the message of jesus
Oof. I dont trust leviticus 25 44-46.
3:00 "God the father" ...is not identified as saying anything at Jesus' baptism.
@@MUZIK731 thanks for commenting! We see in Mark 1:11 that a voice came from heaven saying "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased." We again have the same voice from heaven declaring the same thing in Matthew 17:5. The voice from heaven is confirmed to be God the Father in 2 Peter 1:17. It's pretty commonly understood that the voice from heaven is God the Father at Jesus’s baptism.
@GraftedTheology a voice.....heard from heaven. This needs dissecting. Who heard this voice? Who acknowledged this voice? Did Jesus or his cousin, John, hear and acknowledge the voice? When the text stated it was a voice from heaven, what does that mean? Where is heaven for a voice can be heard? Couldn't it be just an inserted part of christian theology?
The reality is the inerrancy of the Bible is a new invention. Christians have seen the Bible as "true" but have not been feathered to the idea of inerrancy. Catholics, Orthodox and Anglicans have no issue with evolution. They do not have to defend every aspect of the Old Testament. In fact inerrancy dates from the early 20th Century. The reality is also that Christianity went for 300 years before the Bible was invented. Christianity at that time was based on a notion of the oral tradition. Doctrines were invented by the early church fathers and Christian Emperors. The number of people who would read the Bible in the first years of the Church would have been tiny. Literacy being what it was. This guys take on things is very much an American view of Christianity.
Thank You. I simply think of the Bible as dated with dated ideas that date back to the time and place when it's various books were written.
