Bro that first kob look like it was almost chowed by a bigger kob. Just looking at those markings across its body, you can tell that it was another big kob.

Im going to Coffee bay in December , any species to target at this time of the year ? I know that fishings probably better in Winter ...but i caught a few blacktail last year December and was hoping to get something a bit bigger to eat.

Amazing! I've never caught a Kob on paddle tail in the surf and believe me I've tried even in the perfect conditions when other people are catching them. I only get luck with live bait not even occy leg. Kob seem to be very fussy on the southern coast. Which technique do you use when retrieving? I see they take very shallow too or were you casting into a gutter?
