I've attended four games so far this season involving Montreal, Ottawa, New York and Toronto and the SDHLers that impress me the most are Savolainen and Nylen Persson. Neubauerová, Meixner, Tulus and Ljungblom reliable without standing out. Last is Kjellbin, unfortunately the only time I noticed her was the turnover that lead to Fillier's first goal.

Taking a quick look at the draft list and realising Dominique Petrie is a fifth rounder. She's beeen fantastic for the Frost and right now Liz Schepers is playing fourth line minutes. An issue with Ottawa is holding late leads and OT/SO's are a very serious problem. 6 OT loses last season and they opened this season with yet another loss in a SO. Also spending too much time in the box which with the new rule this season needs to be cleaned up.

as a MTL guy my question for your next content would be : How effective was Rylind MacKinnon? From what I see she is a UBC alumni. Is she only there to fill Carter's spot? She's listed as 5 foot 10, if she distinguishes herself a bit that might help her build a career in the league. My wrong prediction of the week after the game at place bell would be that Labelle played ok, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is some shuffle at center for MTL during this season. DeGeorge, Ljungblom and others might get a shot eventually. Let's speak again after 10 games to see how wrong I am.

It feels wrong seeing the Sceptres without Spooner like the Avengers without Ironman or Cap. Defenders I get Fast and Larocque are their main line but I hope to see Flanagan get more showcase she proved she can deliver in the Pittsburgh match against Montreal I think the problem is she didn’t have a compatible partner last season. If not for Jenner the Charge wouldn’t be on my radar but Serdachny is definitely one to watch she’s along the lines of Spooner and Julia Gosling as a Forward. No surprise on Victoire, Sirens, or Fleet they’re sticking with what works.
