Well as an electronics tech I can you that it's got dried out capacitors in the power supply so it shuts down to protect mode a very very common fault especially on Samsung & LG (which is Goldstar back in the 90's) n I have fixed thousands of TV's over the yrs for this type of fault.

Its probably the battery in the remote are weak, It gives the wrong signal to the tv

Ours started doing this we have a Q7 55" QE55Q7FAM !!! it seems to be a major fault yet no one at samsung know about it !!!! if it is a default in the design surly Samsung should get it sorted in warranty or not, I, we didn't pay good money for a product that fails after only a few months ............... So come on samsung show some respect, get our QLEDs fixed !!
