I did as well! Richard Scarry was a very safe and happy read throughout my childhood and I think I read all of his stuff dozens and dozens of times. The reason I read children's books for videos now is in the hopes that I am providing other children - including my nieces and nephews - some wholesome content on UA-cam that's book based to really encouraged book reading. Thank you so much for commenting and feel free to ask for particular content if you wish. At this point I pretty much post what catches my fancy or what I'm requested to post by my friends and family's kids.

Bella got down on her own, but she was quite loud and dramatic about it. She's a tiny cat which makes her posturing even more dramatic looking sometimes. She's adorable and I love having her around even when she's silly. ❤

Thank you so much for sharing her experience with me! I am still struggling to understand this, but I am grateful that with pill pockets she's willing to take the meds right now. She goes back in for blood work in early September and we will talk more about surgery vs. radioactive iodine. The only way to get the radioactive iodine treatment is a bit over three hours away from my home so I'm not sure how that would really work-especially for a cat who doesn't want to leave the house at all or be seen by anybody except for me and sometimes my partner. The way she responded in the clinical room at the vet was heartbreaking. She kept trying to squish herself into three inch gaps between furniture and then tried to squish herself flat standing on two paws behind the door hoping that nobody would see her. Just thinking about it hurts. So I admit I'm not sure what I should do with this point although the vet definitely agreed with you suggesting that the radioactive iodine was the way to go if we were going to do something besides the pills. I figure I'll start with the pills for now and see how well that works while I continue to do research and chat with the vet and make the best decision we can. I would never wish this disorder on any cat, but I admit it might be easier for some other cats to deal with. The fact that she's still so terrified of people it's really going to make this much harder on her on top of the disorder itself.

Thank you so much! She's almost 12 but sometimes she definitely brings out the inner kitten. She's just a love bug and I adore her. I got super lucky on the rug. I volunteer at a charity shop relatively close by to my home. It was dropped off one day and it was so dirty you couldn't really tell the what the patterns were on it. I toke it to my local laundromat and ask them to wash it until it was clean if it look salvageable and I would pay for it. So I ended up with a lovely rug for $25. I have had it for 5 years now so it was definitely worth the money!

@SoniaGisme I love thrift stores too. I have gotten some great rugs also. I went to one this morning and got a narrow little table to go next to my loveseat as there wasn't room for a regular end table. I love getting a bargain on something I love.

@@kaybonette thrift stores really are awesome. I have purchased things at thrift stores that I would never have been able to afford otherwise. I'm really grateful that I live near a few good ones!

I do as well. I have a few so I am very lucky to be able to just enjoy watching them when I'm stressed. And many of them sleep with me which is very lovely too. ♥️
