It happens. there are 40,000 people watching this parade and the part in the video is close to the beginning. By the time they get past the castle they will have gotten over the nerves.
It bothers me that none of the groups threw the baton. It is not that hard to do a one turn in a parade. I understand when there a groups a littler kids, but for the high school majorettes not to is ridiculous. I am not blaming the girls because sometimes it is the coach, but if there is a girl on the high school line that cannot do a toss while marching should not be on the line.
It's actually a rule set forth by Disney, that you are not allowed to toss, so that there are no drops and nothing slows down the parade. I've gone with a HS band multiple times and many of the groups that participated in this parade have skill levels way above a one spin.
Disney specifies no tosses in the parades. It's a strict rule that even the Elite and Advanced twirlers (and that would be most of the soloists) have to follow.

My team has anyone taht is able to do a spinner do one and the older girls do toss I’ve dropped before but it doesn’t matter
