Mega haul. Part 1. Ending with a disaster :)
Переглядів 407 годин тому
I couldn't merge this video with second part because this file is too big for my software. So I will add part 2, much shorter, as soon as I will publish this video. Of course I wouldn't be myself if I don't mess up some names and brands. So at some point Lesney became Lledo.

Red one is release A not 8. I was recording it early in the morning so my brain was only half awake. Or less than half.
Another Sunday market haul.

I'm very happy about my new finds. Maybe I had to wait 20 minutes to park my car because it was so crowded. But now I can enjoy some cars. Not only cars.
Ferrari, 8 of them, from DeAgostini.
Переглядів 18416 годин тому
Not as detailed as DeAgostini's Mercedes series. But decent enough.
What can be better than one Mercedes diecast car? Six of them. Friday finds, part 2

I dived into another rabbit hole. But a nice one. DeAgostini and their Mercedes line. I think this is one of the best of those mass produced, cheap series. I could be right. I could be wrong. You can decide.
Friday finds. Part 1.
Переглядів 124День тому
Friday was busy. But rewarding. I left home 90 minutes earlier than usual so on the way to work I could collect cars from 3 different sellers. Sellers living withing 15-16 minutes drive from each other. Here is what I bought from sellers number 1 and 3.
Few cars from Corgi's "A Century of Cars" collection.
Переглядів 28914 днів тому
Simple, cheap but decent enough to not regret having them. Various levels of details, different bottom plates, styles. Even boxes are different sizes. I found it when I was buying DeAgostini Porsche's. Few black bin bags filled with those cars. Seller asked me if I'm interested. At price of regular Hot Wheels or Matchbox it was bargain. Few pieces are missing to made it complete. But then many ...
Kyosho's old Ferrari part 1.

Let's start our journey through Kyosho's Ferraris from series II. And let's see how much they improved later.
More DyDo.

I can only apologize for strange noise my turntable was making. Some of those cars have paint issues. But those are old and cheap diecast cars. So could be worse. I still love Japanese cars and I'm delighted I got those. I prefer not perfect model in my collection than perfect I can't touch and look at ;)

Japanese cars from Konami set No 2
Переглядів 16721 день тому
More or less famous Japanese cars. 6 models, each in 2 color versions. As a special feature for viewers I changed year 1969 to 1962.
Some Hot Wheels I bought from a very special seller.
Переглядів 19621 день тому
Kid decided to sell some of his Hot Wheels so his dad put advert about it. It was a pleasure to make a deal with them. Looking at what he already owned I'm sure his new cars would be fantastic. It was absolutely worth to go to Dublin.
My first Schuco's.

After watching videos about Schuco I ordered my first models made by them. And Porsche was small surprise for me.
Shell's set of 8 Ferrari. And some Bburago and Kyosho too. Plus something ugly not fitting topic.

A mega haul indeed! I’ve never added so many pieces to my collection in one fell swoop, looks like fun!
I agree, that 507 is definitely a treasure.
That 1909 Opel is very nice! Diablo too…
@@Diecastclassicist Diablo is one of reasons I noticed this. Other was Ferrari and some 1:43 models. Plus Matchbox Special SP1 Kremer Porsche CKS. But Porsche is missing. Still it was very good deal for me.
That’s a lot of trucks, it’s a good thing you have a shed!
@@Diecastclassicist I'm thinking about another shed. Or container 😀
@@wojteklabuc lol
I loved the video my friend bought a lot of stuff there are a lot of cool things there lots of classic models but the ones I loved the most were the Matchbox trucks with the trailer I put the thumbs up
I loved the video old buses are really cool In my childhood I still remember seeing here in Portugal, more specifically in the city of Lisbon, double-decker buses I put the thumbs up
Duouble-deckers are very popular in Ireland.
what a glorious ending 😅
@@TheQuirkyGarage1999 I couldn't force myself to cut it off. It's very important other can witness it too 🤣
it's definitely a collection from someone of an older generation but it's kinda cool nonetheless 🙂
@@TheQuirkyGarage1999 Seller was in his late 30s/early 40s. So his father older generation for sure. Models in this collection are mostly from the 1990s from what I can recognize. Only few are older than this. And he was collecting it in UK. But I don't think I'm only person who bought his collection. In a huge box with empty blisters and boxes there were many which can't be paired with what I bought. So probably I got "only" leftovers. Which makes me wondering how big was his collection and what was in it.
@@wojteklabuc some models that you've shown are older like some of the loose Matchbox of Yesteryears from the late 70's through mid 80's 🙂
This is really great, I thought no one was interested in that video. Thank you so much for posting this!
I'm still very confused. AliExpress is rather fixing copyright issues. Just recently, I got a warning about Chrome marker I bought for diecast customization being an "unlicensed" product.
Wow, that plane is wonderful!
@Diecastclassicist I saw it 2 months ago. The seller's price was too high. This time it was so low I had to buy it.
Great Corgis!
@Diecastclassicist I'm afraid more is coming soon. Today, on a way to work, I collected a collection of over 200 cars. Including Corgis, very interesting Matchbox, Vanguard, EFE, etc. I'm just trying to figure out what I just bought. I think we can safely assume I'm a madman.
@@wojteklabuc wow! Maybe a madman, maybe a genius…. 😝
That’s an interesting mix, good finds. Does the Rolamatics work?
@Diecastclassicist not really. I will drill it because I want to fix axles.i will check why it isnt rotating.
cool stuff you have there I loved the plane thanks for sharing the video your subscriber from Portugal put thumbs up
@@1969DIABOLIC Thank you.
I also have some of these models in my collection Here in Portugal it is easier to find 1/43 models from DeAgostini and other brands than 1/64 scale models from other brands I loved the video, thanks for sharing your subscriber from 🇵🇹 Portugal put the thumbs up
@1969DIABOLIC In Ireland, it's almost impossible. Very small market on the island. And after Brexit, things are even worse. Still, there are occasions from time to time.
Some great cars in this collection; I agree the P4 is the greatest!
@@Diecastclassicist those lines, curves. It's a piece of art.
again I'm big fan of the classy 456GT but I also like the 365GTC4,512BB and Mondial 🙂
@@TheQuirkyGarage1999 Spoken li,e a true gentleman.
beautiful models you have there thumbs up for sure from your subscriber from Portugal
I’m excited for the Ferraris!
Wow! Mercedes doesn’t usually excite me, but the second one, the 300 S Roadster from 1952, is just beautiful - what a classic! Simply stunning.
I wouldn't be offended if instead of British roadster someone would offer me this Mercedes. :D
@@wojteklabucI misunderstood. Now I’m embarrassed. Apologies!
@@Diecastclassicist No worries. I can't see difference between Greenlight and Johnny Lightning sometimes :D
I quite like the last three from later years 🙂
Same. Those looks like Mercs I remember. Shape, lights, style - Mercedes path was evolution not a revolution. Different but still strong family DNA showing resemblance.
cool stuff you have there thanks for sharing the video your subscriber from Portugal put thumbs up
Thank you for watching.
The Ferraris are nice too.
I love Ferraris so I'm always happy to get more to my collection.
917 ❤!
917 in need of some love :D And some work too. I'm starting my days off so Porsche won priority over other projects and I will try at least to clean it, strip pain and paint it with primer. Maybe more but I don't think family will be kind enough to let me spend me all my days off in the shed working on a Porsche :D
I like the eyes on the Vette.
Yes. Eyes are adding a lot here.
off all of these the gold-ish silver 456GT is favorite because it's very Classy looking :-)
Even color is nice. Gold would be too ostentatious. Hint of gold changes silver into something more intersresting and standing out but it's still classy.
Wow mini car great
@@buboyaranal7351 thank you for watching.
A very interesting color for Porsche. 😁
Out of this bunch, my favorite is the Jaguar. They’re all very nice though.
Cool!
from what I know this series is from the Early 2000's and was composed of 80+ models sourced from Corgi, solido and a few Norev, both the Solido and Corgi are mixed bag because they tended to use older casting (even for the time period of this series ) and so they're sometimes a bit simpler and cruder...
Yes. It's a total mix. And you're right about older castings. Some of them are even incomplete older castings because there is hole to screw them to the plate but there is no plate. But those are often slightly more detailed than those standing loose. I like old diecast cars so I don't mind if newer model, as long as it isn't very expensive, looks like old Corgi :D And old Corgis can be so expensive.
And if you like them I can send you few. I'm still looking for new home for some doubles 😁
@@wojteklabuc that's very nice of you but I don't collect larger scale anymore 😉 but Michael does like them...
I loved these model cars from Kyosho thanks for sharing the video I put the thumbs up
@@1969DIABOLIC Thank you for watching. I appreciate thumb up.
Out of the ones in this video, my favorite is the yellow LM. Kyosho did redo the LM later too…
I will try to get older Ferraris like 250 in all variants or Dino And I agree with you about 250 LM.
Kyosho ❤!
I loved these models I didn't know about this diecast brand thanks for sharing I put the thumbs up
Thank you. I don't think those were too popular outside Japan.
So do you prefer Dydo or Konami overall?
Konami. I think those are better quality and better details overall. But if I can find cheap ones I will buy any of them. I like both are doing cars which are little known.
nice little pieces 🙂
👍 Thx 🇧🇪.
Thank you for watching.
these purchases gave good results I put the thumbs up
@1969DIABOLIC I hope the kid will get some nice cars to his collection.
cool stuff you have there my friend thanks for sharing the video I loved it your subscriber from Portugal put thumbs up
@1969DIABOLIC Thank you from Polish lad living in Ireland. I'm starting to watch your videos. So far, I see many nice diecast models.
Great collection of Ferraris my guy. I love Lotus too so that one was also a little treat. Keep up the great work man!
Thank you. I will work harder and I will do my best to feature more Lotuses 😉
Greetings from Portugal I just have to thank Diecastclassicist for informing about your channel Congratulations on your UA-cam channel I subscribed to your channel
@@1969DIABOLIC Thank you very much.
@@wojteklabuc 👍
Great video! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else demonstrate the way these need to be assembled. Excellent documentation!
Thank you. I was worried if Ferraris would be as easy to assembly as lower numbers of DyDo set or a little bit messy like higher numbers. Luckily everything went smoothly. I like philosophy behind those self-assembly cars. Making those is cheaper. So there could be more details. And again - as a kid I would be delighted to "make" my own cars. Much better experience. At least as long as assembly process isn't too complicated. But I think now it could be tricky. Small parts can be swallowed by young kids, etc. So liability could be a problem.
@@wojteklabuc good point.
I agree with Aurele - the first couple Ferrari series from Kyosho weren’t quite as nice as the later ones. But they’re still well worth collecting, much better than Hot Wheels!
At that time they were something like Walmart exclusive Hot Wheels. Sold only in Circle K Sunkus stores. Very cheap, within first 4 years they sold more than 10 millions of those. This is why I was reluctant to pay as much as many sellers are asking now for them. Until I found this set. When, still factory sealed, Ferrari model is cheaper than loos Hot Wheels Ferrari this is price I'm willing to pay 😁
to be honest these very early Kyosho set from 2004/5 are not greatest compared to next ones but it's diecast History I guess 🙂
Last year Kyosho celebrated 60th birthday. And they again released new Ferraris. But in 1:18 scale. Would be great if they make new 1:64. But I think chances are very low.
Holy cow! A box full of Konami, Dydo, and Kyosho? That’s an amazing box, like Christmas morning. I have a few of these too, like the Celica. I can’t wait to see the Ferraris! (I have a lot of those screwdrivers already…. lol…)
Looks like an interesting book…
It is. I just started reading it. I wasn't aware of it until friend of mine, historian, recommended it. Soon I will know if it's as good as previous book about War Plan Orange.
Ooh, nice! I have a few Konami models, I like them a lot! You’re collecting some great stuff! The green Civic is my favorite.
It's one of those rare lucky moments. I was trying to buy DyDo set on Ebay. I found cheapest offer but I wasn't sure if it's set I wanted. Because I can't read Japanese and everything was in blue bags with Japanese writing on it. So I asked seller about it he asked me if I can send him a photo of other offers. I did, he confirmed it's same set and same time he raised price to match other offers🤣 So I checked on Zenmarket, I'm using to to buy books from Japan, and found cheap Konami and DyDo sets. They were 50 and 60 euro each. Of course there were shipping costs too but it was worth it anyway.
@@wojteklabuc great deal! Well done.
once again these are still very decent 🙂👍
As for 20 years old they are good. And when we take into consideration how cheap those were then I wish we have something similar now.
@@wojteklabucme too!
these were great for their day (early 2000's) and I think that they're still pretty good 🙂
@@TheQuirkyGarage1999 Yes. As long as I can buy those cheap I would take any of those over Hot Wheels premium.
I love Schuco! The vintage 1/66 are my favorites, but the modern 1/64 are great too.
I discovered Schuco not so long ago. And I like what they do.
