Discovering a Sony SCD-CE595 Super Audio CD Player
Mine was brought in 2002 in silver color and still working. When it is still brand new, it has the problem you mentioned at the beginning of this clip of reading some of the CDs, it fails to read the disc, but by open the disc tray and re inserted the CD again may help in successful reading, just like at the beginning of your clip. One good feature of RV32 is when playing DVD of movie in 4:3 format, it will automatically fit the 16:9 aspect ratio of nowadays digital TV screen.
Interesting! Thanks for the info.
That looks like it would make an awesome performer
Can you convert this into standalone active subwoofer? It needs the ac media console to work?
少年は気にしない
Whatever happened to those Mini Advent speakers you bought? 🤔
I've still got 'em. Maybe they'll show up in a longer video at some point.
Your eject works perfectly mine whenever I press it takes some time to open lol but it still works just not easily open
Useless.
1986 looks modern
Does this really require 16 minutes?
Certainly not: I should have wasted a few more hours of my time cutting it down to suit your tastes.
@SomeDisassemblyRequired Touche...thanks
its foolish to even consider that the source of the digital data matter. as long as data is not corrupt it does not matter if you get it from a CD or from a shaved CD or from a network cable or from a pendrive or from a 100 $ cd player or from a 2000 $ cd player, the data will be the very same. The further parts of the system can make a difference, DAC, preamp amp speakers, but the source of the data is totally 100% does not matte as long as it is not corrupted
$10? Nice👍
That's slick. I'm interested in seeing the guts.
I had the same in 91 😂
Cam
Pls how can I power on can?
Cute
For your Ficher machine it is now an entity
This deck is very intriguing. Did you see it had a tape speed selector? I've own decks with a pitch adjustment (speed fine tune) but never a speed selection. I have a Tascam multitrack that runs the tape about twice the normal speed but no other decks with a speed section. It looked like you could also manual calibrate the bias too. I didn't see anything about it having 3 heads tho. I bet it made nice recordings back in its day especially if you had type IV (metal) tapes.
I didn't notice a speed selector but you might be able to determine that from a manual online.
@@SomeDisassemblyRequired It definitely has speed select of 1 7/8 ips (standard) and 3 3/4 ips (double speed). At that speed the tape would have a wider frequency response and probably more headroom to record the audio louder. I know there are a few high end studio decks that could do this but I never thought a Fisher would have this feature. This just caught my attention. If it was a 3 head model I'd be drooling over it but that's kind of deal breaker for me. I bet this could sell for a lot more on eBay if the right person came across it. Btw, thanks for posting this. I love seeing this kind of stuff. subscribed!
@@OneRoomShedI don't comment much but I figured you'd like to know that they did in fact make a 3 head version of this deck, the CR 4029. Recently I bought one for just $22 from an estate sale and I finished cleaning it up and replacing the belts about a week ago. The recording this thing can make at double speed on a type two cassette is pretty incredible. I've posted more about mine on Reddit in the cassette culture sub if you're interested in seeing the official specs and some pics of the internals
That is fun
That would be a perfect gift for my mother this christmas
What is this device for? I have one just like it and I don't know how to use it.
It's a home cinema amplifier.....
TREASURE!
I had the same glitch like You and managed to do workaround. Restarting console didn't help, but exiting to pause menu and selecting "restart" reloaded everything to from last checkpoint. I hope it helps
I'm from india
please I'm like this i can bay this please 🙏
Hope you get back to that Steinway upright sometime. Those first 4 videos were very informative.
Hey Mister, that's a model I (pronounced 'eye') . The 'I' is stamped right on the plate. Measure it and see if it's not 54 inches tall. The model 'K' is 52 inches tall.
This was great info! I was gifted a Braava with no instructions.
I was l[king for copper and started chipping the tar and aearched the video befkre i went further . Thank god i didnt make a mess
I have the same player but region B
It's a rebadge of a Panasonic model, Denon didn't start making their own DVD players until a few years later.
This is "white van" stereo junk made to look expensive to fool people who don't know any better into buying junk from supposed delivery van drivers claiming its overstock. Open it up and there's practically nothing inside.
Does anyone remember the 90s fad with green markers on the edge of CDs to absorb stray laser light? Same BS! The player only reads reflected laser light reflected at the correct angle. Stray light bouncing around from "outside" cannot be read. The green marker BS was light bouncing around between the layers would be absorbed by the green marker on the outer edge. Thinking about it, the only way for that light to come in contact with the green marker is if it is leaving the CD anyway since coating was on outer edge. Pure BS. People swore they'd hear a significant change.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Or she
He. He's basically a big baby. Startles easily. Purrs loudly. Biggest cat that's ever owned me.
That's littery the same name of my cat and he looks like my cat 🐈 😅😮❤😊
Nice video of a Pioneer deck. I wouldn't say Top End unit as it replaced the CT-F500, which replaced the CT-F2121 (going back to 1974). That said, Pioneer budget cassette decks were very good value. My first component cassette deck in 1975 was the CT-F2121. It served me well until I upgraded to a more advanced machine in 1977. With vintage components, cassette decks probably require the most TLC. I have used a fair number of cassette decks over the years. I've owned; Akai GX-F31, Nakamichi BX-1, Akai CS-F14, Onkyo TA-630D, Nikko ND-590ll, Technics RS-m224, Yamaha KX-260 and Denon DRM-800A. Still in service are the DRM-800A and KX-260 in my main system and the BX-1 in my kitchen hifi system. Ain't no doubt about it, cassettes are convenient.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thank you for the review. I am currently looking at replacing my junk onkyo c7030 that refuses to read my cds properly. It was purchased new as a gift for me and never played right.
I have the Optimus version of this equalizer, all on the outside looks the same except the name.. It came from Radio Shack.
I have one and it makes improvement in sound. I'm not that smart and I don't have the fancy "gageometers" but I do have a decent stereo system and I listen. Also there are some other tweaks on CD that works and also some that don't.
I have the same unit and the same problem with the speaker terminal. Found a replacement terminal on e-bay, but it did not combine the negative terminals, When I hocked it up the unit made a loud pop and one of the speakers sounded very tinny. Will try to combine the wires and see if it makes a difference.
I have one of those ,bought it as part of a set from Sound Hounds in 1978 in Victoria BC
Bought mine back in 2013 and Im actually using it in my 18 wheeler because the factory system is crap!!!🤣 Still pumping out good sound like a champion to a set of 30+ year old Kenwood LS-V730 tower speakers!!!😁
Restored properly is around 400
I've been carrying one of these around for 10 years from storage unit to storage unit. Finally bought a house and have room to do what I originally wanted to do which I kinda forgot 😂 I know it had something to do with a DVD ram Panasonic camera I have. Anyway, thanks for the video 👍🏼
Cool, thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
I had the same damage capacitor. But I change it and didin't work. It turns on and a few seconds later , off. The +7D line is 9.3V instead of 7.9😕. Tested the other capacitors. They were ok.
I have the same one how do I hook it up to my receiver
Hey I found my dad’s kenwood avr, can this be used for electric guitars?
Interesting question. I've moved that one out, so I've forgotten if it has a phono input, but generally speaking you can hook an electric guitar up directly to a phono input, though not the "line in" inputs of an A/V receiver.
@ thank you. maybe a new topic for another video? Is there a phono input built in or do I have to find an adaptor?
do you know how to fix a altec lansing 221 ORANGE cable ? ?? i can't seem to be able to get it off i am sure it needs some soldering.
Will it work without the remote control? 🥹😭
I made that video a few years ago, so I don't remember. But as a guess, I doubt it: Bose tends to make integrated audio 'systems' that are highly dependent on each of the components that go together.
@@SomeDisassemblyRequired Thank you so much for replying! :) Guess I have to find me a new remote control, 'cuz this thing just doesn't want to power on.
I got a pair at goodwill for $20 too
