Poor Hiking Etiquette
Приєднався 1 вер 2013
Hi, I'm Kim!
I recently got into hiking and have been filming them so I have some nice memories to look back on.
If you like, you can catch me on Instagram @thekimjordan where I post photos from my trips and travels, as well as probably too many pictures of my cat.
Thanks! xx

Hiking the Highlands: The West Highland Way and Ben Nevis
This is my very very delayed video of Hiking the West Highland Way back in June 2021. This was my first proper long-distance hike and I had the best time. Hope you enjoy! :)
***I film these on my phone so they are already of questionable quality, but then something happens when I upload them to UA-cam and suddenly it's pixel city baby. Just try to see past it and imagine this is the best quality video you've ever seen! Tell yourself "wow it's just like I'm there" and eventually you'll believe it to be true. (Please excuse the quality of the Ben Nevis section especially. I had low battery so I just took what I could from live photos 😬)***

Hiking in the Rain - A Soggy Walk in The Black Mountains

I can only apologise for the sound quality in this as I recorded the narration on possibly the world's worst headphones microphone. I'm learning how to make these vids even slower than I'm learning how to hike efficiently 💁🏼♀️Also, if you're watching it on anything larger than a phone screen, it's probs gonna look like it was filmed on a potato. BUT we move... enjoy 🙃 This ended up being a 28 ...
Hiking the South Downs Way: Part 1 - Eastbourne to Alfriston (Both Routes)
Переглядів 3843 роки тому
We originally planned to start the Winchester end of the South Downs Way and hike to the halfway point around Amberley, as we had a bank holiday weekend, but got way too messy on the Friday night and lost a day 🙃 We decided to start the Eastbourne end instead and do both routes from Eastbourne to Alfriston (via Jevington and the Seven Sisters) and hike them as a loop. We totalled about 45km acr...
Congrats, well done! Thx for sharing your adventure. Walked the WHW last year by myself. Totally understand what it ment to you. Such a nice trail.
Hi Never understand why poor camping etiquette is not challenged... Most people will respond positively and sensitivelyQ UUnless they are a large DfE group! (Inexperienced, nervous, clueless, leaderless... and that's just the staff! Just give them a bit of direction!
Wonderfully filmed with a completely upbeat and fresh narration. Well done and thank you
Aw thank you so much, glad you enjoyed :)
Well done.
Thank you 😁
I hope that you're going to do more videos.
Haha I have 3 that I need to put together but ADHD 🙃😂
@@poorhikingetiquette I get you, hen. I'm Dyslexic, and the procrastination is a pain in the arse.
The Brecon Beacons National Park looks so beautiful. I do need to explore Wales more.
It really is gorgeous. I recommend The Beacons Way! I have a couple of videos to finish from my hike there but I'll upload soon 🙌🏻
@@poorhikingetiquette Yeah, I should really do the Beacons Way.
I do want to walk the West Highland Way. There are a lot of other walks in Scotland to do, including the Whithorn Way, which goes from Glasgow Cathedral, to the Isle of Whithorn. They are great ways to explore Scotland, and see parts of the country that you might not have seen before.
It was great fun I recommend it! I've also done the Great Glen Way and the Rob Roy Way, I just haven't gotten around to making the videos yet 😅 but Scotland is beautiful and I'm keen to see more so thank you for the recommendations!! 🖤
@@poorhikingetiquette I hope that you get to see a lot more of Scotland
Like you I've watched so many videos of the west highland way. This is by far my favourite I've seen. Thank you for sharing. My West highland way adventure starts in July. I've taken notes from your video 😊
Aw thank you so much that's so lovely of you!! I hope you have the best time. Let me know how you get on 😊
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖. ⛺🔥🔥
Haste Ye Back Kim.
Haha I'm working on it 🖤
Beautiful video, planning to do it this June and cannae wait!
Thank you!! Aw I'm jealous I'd love to do it again it was such a great trip. I'm doing the Rob Roy Way this June though so maybe I'll bump into you in Drymen 😁
@@poorhikingetiquette Nice one! hope you're having a great time too ;-)
Thank you for sharing your trip….it’s always been on my to do list and this has just made it go to the top of the list!
Thank you so much 😊 definitely do it, it was such a great week. I hope you love it!
Oo is this in summer it would be a different beast in this weather. Fantastic abit of summer I need this I'll give it a watch thanks for sharing ye 😀
Hi - yeah this was June 2021 I am just very slow to post haha. We got really lucky with the weather the first half of the week but it did get a bit miserable on day 5 🙃 thanks for watching x
The WHW is an incredibly beautiful and atmospheric trail. A wonderful video of your adventure!
Thank you :)
I really enjoyed that. I must say I love that Edward Thomas piece. I was only stood reading that the other month. It sure is a good space to enjoy the skies and views not that you had much to enjoy. But a good route and stoic spirit saw you rise to a reasonable next day. Good going. All the best. Mark
Aw thank you! Yeah it's a great place to go walking for sure. I actually did the first half of the Beacons Way recently and passed the Edward Thomas barn again. I'll finish editing that video at some point I'm sure 😬
