Word of warning, attempting to copy this same method of prising the base from the camera resulted in mine ripping three screws out of an internal cylinder holding the sphere onto the base leading to the three screws rattling around inside the camera head unit sphere and obvious permanent damage to the unit. I'm going to guess that you are actually supposed to go in via taking the back off the sphere and unscrewing the base from the top from within the sphere itself

Hi, i've a hds live 12 and sometimes, randomly, the screen turn black (for a fraction of a second) like he got no power for a very very short time.. any idea? Can be this connector? The hds live is just 8 months old!

The back don't come off like that and why isn't it put back on when you fixed it cause this will not open. I feel like I'm going to snap it to open it and I will if it makes me mad enough 😅

LOWRANCE IS CRAP! Sorry, but it's the TRUTH. Having "push in" connectors on marine electronics has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever seen in the marine industry. I just took a Hook7ss out of the box, mounted on a Hobie Outback kayak, can't get the unit to power up. Fiddle with the power plug on back, low and behold, I can clearly see after I push the plug in aligned properly, it goes all the way in, and when I let go, it pops halfway back out. Like it is spring loaded. NOTHING TO FASTEN THE CONNECTOR ON WITH????? WTF?? Have Lowrance engineers ever been out of the house? Have they ever seen what boats/kayaks do in the water?? How are these plugs supposed to stay in?

I have a elite 9 ti2 and nothing happens to screen when you turn on. Can hear beeping when buttons are push. Can tell it boots up & down but nothing on the screen. Was working perfectly

I have a Gen 2 Touch 12 inch that won't go into calibration mode, how can I check if the problem is the touch digitizer or the controller? Is it feasible to replace the touch with a universal 5-pin resistive using the original attachments? Interesting usb injector I'm curious about the connections.

How did you know it wasn't a physical button issue? I had a similar issues and i removed the power button flex board, separated it, cleaned the contactor, re-joined, installed and it worked perfectly. I got that fix from one of your videos.
