LED is where it’s at, even the most tacky fixtures!

Even though HID lamps are supposedly discontinued, they won’t totally disappear. They are probably still being produced in China, although inferior to US and European made lamps. They are still readily available in places like Habitat ReStore and even some big box DIY centers. You can get HID lamps for a couple dollars or more at any ReStore.

I have one of these I dont know how to hook it up to my games and change the input any help would be great

I just got one and it's great but I changed the input accidentally somehow trying to go through the menu. Now I can not put it back into the game input without a remote and of course I don't have it. Got to figure out something for it because it was awesome while I did get to use it.

What is this tv in this UA-cam video made up of on the outside? It isn’t a wooden tv.

Metal halide looks less like an LED than a daylight cfl. Daylight CFLs are probably the closest to daylight LEDs in color, and when i see a daylight bulb i can’t even tell if it’s a CFL or LED unless i look at it.

i just ordered one of these and a ps2. i never had a ps2 i really wanted to play socom.

For a budget set this thing has a damn good picture.

When my father used to fix TVs he always grounded the screwdriver to the metal chassis with a wire with alligator clips.

Awesome Video!! I bought up several of these mercury vapor fixtures and other HID lights over the past decade from eBay, FB marketplace, and yard sales just because I like the cool tone and watching the initial "warm up" when they first come on! I just know that someday I'll put one or two into use in my personal dwelling, no matter how much LED's have really taken over.

So, for the fact that you didn’t show the discharging (sounds dangerous) I am now leaving for another video. Consider filming a new video, safety is important (to state the importance of discharging safely)

I have this tv. I didnt have a remote for years and it was sitting in my basement.got a universal, but damn even for composite, nes looks great on it. It is so damn light. Its end of manufacturing technology, so as cheap and light as it's made, the quality of the picture is pretty good. No complaints.its a bare bones display but i like it

Mine works great. I use it mainly for my snes/nes games and other retro games. Occasionally a DVD. The vhs player works too but it is a bitch to get the tapes out. I think that is because at one point the tv fell and since then the bar that holds the vhs tapes is not properly aligned as well anymore.

Ferrite yoke cores can be sold for some decent money (10/20 € for the pair). 🤔😏 The flyback transformer goes for like a minimum of 5 €. I've sold mine for an average of 10 €. Sometimes 15 €/piece. 😇🤗 @ 08:29 I usually keep the long thin copper wire that is wound all around the CRT. I have a bunch of empty plastic spools from solder wires. So I wind the wires on those. 😊 Powerful MOSFETs that are on the PCB too can be sold. So lots of useful parts.

Update: I still have all my Feit Electric filament LED bulbs and none of them failed after months of use.

Where did this person get this CRT tv with GE from? You don’t see too much of these any more.

I have a 19' GE 19GT357 XS Stereo Commercial Skip manufactured in July 1998. Despite being RF only, it does have a pretty awesome picture and great sound with a modulator. Really like the style of these black TVs. 👍

I know there is certain adapters but my question is have you tried it and if so can you direct me to where I can buy some cables!
