Install a Wall-Mounted Walk-In Shower Rack for Shampoo and Soap
In this DIY project, I walk you through how I installed a custom, wall-mounted rack for my shower. Tired of unreliable suction cup organizers, I opted for a sturdy rack that mounts on the shower door. I cut off the hooks, drilled holes in the remaining frame, and spray-painted it black to prevent rust. To secure it on the wall, I added a piece of wood between the tile and ceiling, which I mounted to the studs for extra stability. This is a simple, practical solution to organize your shower essentials while keeping everything looking neat and rust-free.

    Biggest flaw of the trailer is that the frame doesn't conduct the ground due to the powder coating. Get yourself 50' of white wire to run to each light.

      In many places, it is required by law to have insurance for a trailer. Insurance can cover damages, liability, and other potential issues. It’s important to check the specific regulations in your state or country to ensure compliance.

    I recommend to all considering one of these to buy the 1720 lb like this one rather than the 1195 lb trailer. It's only $30 more but comes with box-channel tow bars and cross-members rather than C-channel. The tow bar brackets are also stronger, and it doesn't need the tongue reinforcement plate so you can place the tongue jack inside the a-frame. After fully assembling the two sections separately but loosely and upside down, bolt them together and place them on cinder blocks or something else to raise it at least 6", still upside down. Using a square, tighten the TOP bolts (which will be on the bottom) first, then make sure the rails are vertical and tighten the BOTTOM bolts. This will ensure the rails and cross-members are the same in relation to one another around the entire trailer. I placed heavy nylon washers between the tow bars and brackets to avoid wearing the paint. Install the Leaf Springs using only the front bolts through the eyes. Install the axle on top and the U-Bolts with the nuts hand tight. Swing the entire assembly forward and you'll have easy access to the nuts since they need to be torqued to 15 ft.-lbs. Install the Fender Brackets but not the Fenders, and then the wheels. Once installed that is when you flip it. Leaving off the fenders prevents damaging them. Start at the plug and work your way back, after making sure you have enough length to connect to the car and allow sharp turns in both directions. I recommend butt splice connectors and heat-shrink tuning, or the heat-shrink butt splice connectors. Do not use automotive tap connectors or wire nuts as they are not suitable for weather exposure. Also, don't use electrical tape. It is only intended for temporary use while assembling systems and will become gooey and let go, especially when exposed to the weather. Use rubber tape instead. Run a ground wire to each light. These are pre-painted and bolt together, so they do not have good electrical continuity. It will also eliminate needing to remove paint. Full grounds will save you a lot of hassle later. Wherever the wire passes through a metal hole, use a rubber grommet or add two layers of heat-shrink tubing to the wire to prevent wear of the insulation.

    After you get done with your trailer you need to find some where to wight it so you can deduct it from your maximum weight that will be what you can haul safely on your trailer.

    • @DaniTurtoi
      @DaniTurtoi 5 місяців тому

      I don’t think I’ll ever load the trailer to its maximum capacity. When I need a heavy-duty trailer, I go to U-Haul and rent one.
