It was my junior year of college and I found myself very socially isolated. I wanted to make my life better, to be happy and for people to understand me. So I decided to tell the world that I had Aspergers. After creating a video of me about my life with Aspergers, my relationships were better and I was much happier. I ultimately learned that I can influence people and help other people who have Aspergers to overcome similar challenges. I came up with the name AuthenticAspie to not only improve the perception of the Autistic community, but to stress the need to be authentic. Whether you have Autism or not you do not need to change yourself to be accepted. Stay authentic always.
AuthenticAspie has given me a sense of confidence that has been therapeutic. As I grow AuthenticAspie I grow an understanding of myself and the Autistic community

This not about going to gym or getting an education. I want to explain to you that if you want to have a higher quality social circle, you have to embody a person with higher standards. You don't need to change yourself, you just need to better than you were yesterday. There will be support along the way and at the end you will find the confidence in yourself you are looking for the whole time.

I know I have been quiet these past months but unfortunately my grandfather died and was asked to create a documentary about his life. He is my greatest inspiration and I hope you enjoy my first film I ever done.
