I did read about some people saying he lost his way playing it up with his image Bobby barnes. But lots of wrestlers then days had a gimmick. So in my opinion I think he was very cleaver as his actions certainly brought him to the publics attention watching wrestling. He was a very very good wrestler though definitely underrated but think he found a gimmick that even people that didn’t follow wrestling would remember him maybe on the odd occasions they see him wrestle ???
