Giving Hope

Love Acadiana partnered with 3 campuses of Our Savior’s Church to create a special Christmas shopping mall experience, where 135 families in need came to shop for gifts for their children and experience the hope of Jesus. Parents were prayed for and had their gifts wrapped by volunteers all while the children had their own experience enjoying music, snacks and hearing the Christmas story in another room. More than 200 volunteers made Giving Hope possible, and 600+ children (including 100+ foster kids) received gifts through this outreach!
Giving Hope is about more than a gift under the tree, but sharing the love of Jesus and his free gift of salvation and hope!

In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, Love Acadiana volunteers and partners gathered critical relief supplies to send to our neighbors in the east who were reeling from the aftermath of the storm. Thanks to BTRU, Love Acadiana was able to purchase some much needed equipment for disaster response and events. We rely on monthly supporters and larger individual contributions like BTRU to better serve and LOVE Acadiana, and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Henderson Tornado Response

Love Acadiana responded to the May 13 tornado in Henderson, tarping roofs, chainsawing trees, and removing debris, in addition to distributing hot meals, food boxes and supplies. The CARE Team ministry was also launched with this deployment to minister to survivors while volunteers worked on their properties.
