Determination of Heat Capacity of a Calorimeter | Determine the Water Equivalent of Calorimeter |
To determine the Heat Capacity of a Calorimeter
To determine the Water Equivalent of Calorimeter
The Heat capacity of a system is its capacity to absorb heat and store energy. As the system absorbs heat, the atoms and molecules contained in the system starts vibrating or their kinetic energy increses. This increased kinetic energy raises the temperature of the system.
Procedure
Heat water to about 50 oC in a beaker.
Measure out 50 ml of this water into the calorimeter place the thermometer in it and keep stirring.
Take temperature readings at every ½ min intervals about 3 min.
Meanwhile measure 50 ml of cold water and note its temperature.
At a noted time, add the cold water into the calorimeter and stir thoroughly.
Continue taking temperature readings at ½ min interval for next 3 more min.
Heat gained by cold (water + Calorimeter) body = Heat lost by hot body

Hello help out, I made the solution by dissolving 5.00g of potassium Iodide (KI) and 0.268g potassium Iodate (KIO3) in 200 ml of distilled water and then adding 30ml of 3M of sulfuric acid. Then poured this solution into a 500 ml of volumetric flask and dilute it to a final volume of 500ml with distilled water. How do I do the calculations?
Thank you so much for watching, the concentration of iodate solution you prepared is 0.002M, I hope it will work for you, for further queries you can write me back
How we find the value of 1/n ?

Very good video
All the videos that explains the chemistry of urea-formaldehyde are made with the heaviest Indian accent. Hard to understand what they say.
First of all thankyou for watching, sorry for the inconveniences please let me know how can I help you? If you have any specific questions I will try to share in writing
@@SpectrumClassesbyDr.Sulaxna yes your video is great and i know little to nothing in chemistry , but i started in a glue plant recently and i got the operator job ,we make formaldehyde and mix it with urea,NaOH and (TEA) thetatosomthing.... then i add acid later extract water ect... the thing is I don't understand the how and why.
Okay, Trolamine, which is also referred to as triethanolamine (TEA), is a tertiary amine and a triol. It is a bifunctional compound that exhibits both properties of alcohols and amines. It is used to prepare water resistant adhesive. Can you please share the research paper or protocol which you are following then I can tell you how and how much amount you have to add, I will also try to find some research paper related to this and will get back to you soon.
@@SpectrumClassesbyDr.Sulaxna I will do, for next week I will collect relevant information
Mam from n/10 sodium thiosulphate how we wil prepre n/500
Dear you can calculate by equation N1V1= N2V2, suppose you want to prepare 100 ml solution of N /500 from N/10; V1*(N/10)=100ml *(N/ 500) in this manner you will get V1 = 2 ml that is you have to add 2ml of N/10 solution in 100 ml measuring flask and then make up to 100 ml, but I would suggested you use 10 ml in 500 ml because you can easily measure the volume in less volume more chances of error, I hope this will work for you, thank you
Can we make this experment without using Na2S2O3?
Amazing

Thank you so much for your kind words
Could you please suggest a text explaining why acetylene is shown as its molecular axis parallel to the external field as contrary to benzene and ethene.
Thank you Mam 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching 💛
Thank you mam🙏🏽💙great explanation
Glad you like it 👍
For serial No. 2, it has ml 1 and s 0, so why can it be term symbol D and not P? why are the 3 first serial numbers grouped together to be 1D term symbol?
For 1D ml= +2,+1,0,-1,-2 and s =0(paired e-s) , I will check the video and then will get back to you, if there is any mistake please consider this, thank you so much for watching and raising the point so that other viewer will be benefited with this

Can i get the pdf of this presentation
Thank you mam

Very good👍
Very good video.
Mam why you removes the 1 electron from 1 atom of N . Meanwhile + sign is for both That is N2
In MOT mo orbitals are formed by the linear combination of wave functions of atomic orbitals and then available electrons are filled. for N2+ one of the N atom is having 6 e means that has one positive charge and after formation of N2 molecule it is dispersed over the molecule. Thanks for watching
thank you, mam

Does the circulation of the pi electron in the presence of the external magnetic field always in clock wise direction? If it was the case there, any law/rules in support?
Thanks for watching please go through the link I have mentioned all the related questions ua-cam.com/video/u7Y0s7Um_1k/v-deo.htmlsi=f1reEmTYUPNlmB8U
