I have been wandering about Arizona and the Southwest for over 2 decades. Along with all the usual sights, I search out those unique and quirky places that make travel fun. An Afternoon in the Petrified Forest

In this video, Little Guy, his friend and I spent the day wandering around the Petrified Forest National Park. Being a geology nerd, I love this place. I take every chance I get to drive through. It is one of my favorite places to watch the sunset and I love hiking the Blue Mesa trail. While it may seem desolate to most people, in terms of geology, this fragile environment is always changing. Enjoy.

Another place I like to place to drive through is Yosemite. The Tioga pass is a scenic drive through Yosemite that takes you over the Sierra Nevadas. What is your favorite road through a National Park?
A fun, low-key hike. Little guy had so much fun exploring everything and of course, the smell was a bonus in his book.
