      Thank you MegaLazydaisy for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment and question. The battery in my WTE WF720 wireless home phone adapter still works. I haven't tested to see how long it lasts but the battery lasted on "standby" during a power failure that lasted about 3 hours. I wasn't actively using the phone during those 3 hours. Rechargeable batteries normally have a usable lifespan of around 5 years especially if they are constantly plugged in and charging. I've had my WTE WF720 longer than 5 years but I'm sure that the battery no longer lasts as long as it did when I originally had it (but I haven't tested it). I hope that you get your battery soon.

    Hi question can battery grip for d5300 fit for d5500?

    • @lmcjipo6125
      @lmcjipo6125 Рік тому

      Thank you ggukseuphoria for taking the time to watch my video and post your question. As I don't have a D5500 and I've only owned a Nikon D5100, D5300, and D5600, I can't give you a definite answer but I would assume that it will work for most features as they take/use the same type of battery EN-EL14 or EN-EL14A and the battery is in the same location on their D5x00 series of cameras. When I sold my Nikon D5100, I kept the battery grip and I used it in my Nikon D5300 and then later used the same battery grip for my Nikon D5600. That being said, there are certain features in one of my older battery grips that don't work on my Nikon D5600. This older battery grip allows for the use of AA batteries and when I connect this battery grip to my Nikon D5600, it will accept 2 EN-EL14 batteries, if I try to use the AA battery adapter in the battery grip, the Nikon D5600 gives me an error message about the batteries not being compatible. I've also gotten the same error message on my Nikon D5600 when buying cheaper EN-EL14 batteries that worked in my earlier Nikon cameras without issues. One of my earlier battery grip videos shows this problem. I do have a later version of the battery grip which uses AA batteries which is accepted by my Nikon D5600. One other thing about purchasing or using a battery grip for an earlier Nikon D5x00 series camera is that the size of the battery grip won't fully align to the camera so that the sides of the battery grip are not flush with the camera body. For example, the older battery grip that I had for my Nikon D5100 fits and is usable in my Nikon D5600 but because the Nikon D5600 body is slightly smaller than the Nikon D5100, the sides of the battery are slightly larger than the side of the Nikon D5600 body so it isn't flush. This doesn't bother me but it might bother some people.

    SirI have a question...as both the models uses the same ENEL14a batteries..can I use a battery grip made for d5600 on my d5300 model??

    • @lmcjipo6125
      @lmcjipo6125 Рік тому

      Thank you Rajarshi Bag for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment. I would say that you *SHOULD* be able to use a battery grip which is advertised as being made for the Nikon D5600 on your Nikon D5300. With the two battery grips that I own, one of them was made for my first Nikon DSLR (Nikon D5100) where I sold my Nikon D5100 but decided to keep the battery grip and I'm using this on my Nikon D5300 as well as sometimes using it on my Nikon D5600 and with my other battery grip, it is advertised as being for the Nikon D5300 and I use it on my Nikon D5600 without any issues. The only problem that I've noticed with one of my battery grips which was made for my older Nikon D5x00 cameras and not for the Nikon D5600 is that this battery grip will take AA batteries as well for my Nikon D5300 but AA batteries will not work in my Nikon D5600 since the battery detection system in the Nikon D5600 detects what it considers non-compatible EN-EL14/EN-EL14A batteries a lot better. What I'm suggesting is if you get a battery grip that only uses EN-EL14/EN-EL14A batteries, it should work without any issues regardless of which Nikon D5x00 it is advertised for whereas if you get a bettery grip that will also use AA batteries, you should probably get a battery grip which is advertised to work with your particular Nikon D5x00 camera or a higher model number. One other thing is that if getting a battery grip which is made for a lower model D5x00 camera than what you are using, because of the slightly smaller sizes of the higher model number D5x00 series of Nikon DSLRs, the battery grip will show a bit of extra spacing and is not flushed with the body of the camera. This didn't bother me so I didn't really care about this and most people won't notice it. I hope this helps. Good luck!

      @lmcjipo6125 Рік тому

      Thank you GULSAR JASSY for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment/question. I'm not sure what your issue could be unless the firmware file was not placed in the proper place or you didn't put the file but also put the folder on your SD card. If the file is not in the root folder of the SD card, the Nikon camera won't detect it and the "update" option won't be there on the camera screen.

    hello sir. may i ask if the battery grip for D5300 can fit to D3500 as well?

    • @lmcjipo6125
      @lmcjipo6125 Рік тому

      Thank you MUSPHY for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment. I will say that in theory a battery grip made for the Nikon D5300 *SHOULD* work in a Nikon D3500 as they use the same type of battery and the battery grip for the Nikon D3100 works for the Nikon D5100. That being said, you should probably get a battery grip specific for your camera if at all possible since there will be a size difference between the cameras which will/may make the battery grip not properly fit or the edges of the camera not to be flushed with the edges of the battery grip.

      Thank you Muhammad Suhaib Nazar for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment/question. The device uses the LTE network so will get typical LTE speeds in your area. Whatever you can get on your cellphone with LTE for your cellular service provider, you will likely get the same speeds with this device. For me, I don't have LTE speed from my cellular service provider so I don't know the maximum speed but cellular data speeds are determined by the carrier and reception strength so it can fluctuate and it is not as stable as cable/DSL internet service.

    I have a similar problem. When 1 battery drains, the other doesn't kick in. But if I remove the tray and put it back in, it does work. The 2 batteries are different amps and brands (Nikon 1030mAh vs non-Nikon 1500 mAh). Any idea if that could be the problem? The non-Nikon does work on its own, so not sure it's the same problem as yours. Does your drain 1 battery then automatically turn to the second battery?

    • @lmcjipo6125
      @lmcjipo6125 Рік тому

      Thank you deeber35 for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment/question. In terms of the battery grips that I own/use with my Nikon D5300 and Nikon D5600 and how the batteries drain when using two EN-EL14 batteries, I believe that they drain at the same time. I believe that the battery grip has the batteries connected in parallel (meaning that the two batteries act like a single battery in terms of voltage but lasts longer). When the low battery indicator shows up on my Nikon camera, I can put each of the batteries in a different battery slot on the battery grip but it won't make that much difference as both batteries won't have a lot of power in them. Based on my experience/usage, my battery grips don't drain/use 1 battery and then use the other battery in the battery grip since when I have a low battery indicator on my camera, both batteries are not fully charged even if I inserted two fully charged batteries into the battery grip.

      Thank you Shatadi for taking the time to watch my video and post your question. Regarding the model number, I had purchased this battery grip when I owned a Nikon D5100 and the model number is MK-D5100 and the battery grip works perfectly in my Nikon D5600. When I sold my Nikon D5100, I decided to keep the battery grip since my Nikon D5300 worked with it. Since this battery grip was manufactured for the Nikon D5100 which is slightly larger than the Nikon D5300 as well as the Nikon D5600, when attaching the battery grip to these DSLRs, you will notice that certain parts are not "flushed" with the sides of the camera. For me, I'm not bothered by this. I don't believe most people would be bothered by it either as long as it works and doesn't cause any obstructions.

      @lmcjipo6125 2 роки тому

      Thank you "M hendri maisyah Zafad" for taking the time to watch my video and post your question/comment. The Nikon D5300 feature described in this video is referring to the ability of this camera to store the geo location of where a particular image was taken in the JPG photo. JPG photos can contain geo location information saved in the EXIF header of the image file. Certain websites and certain photo software have the ability to read this geo location from the EXIF header information of the JPG photo and you will get a map showing you approximately where the photo was taken (or it will show you the latitude and longitude GPS coordinates). This will enable you to have an approximate location of where the picture was taken (assuming that you've enabled this feature on the Nikon D5300 and it "acquired" the GPS satellite signals). I also use the GPS feature of the camera as shown in this video to make sure that the date/time is accurate on the camera before taking pictures. As mentioned in my video, the camera's GPS feature doesn't work indoors. I hope that this answers your question.

Is it too big a question to ask you what the differences are and are you happy with your decision? - Perhaps you could make a video answer to this - sorry - that would be too much work. • @lmcjipo6125
      @lmcjipo6125 2 роки тому

      Thank you PJ Jones for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment/question. It would depend on why you are updating. At the time that I updated my D5100 to a D5300, I really wanted the built-in GPS. When I then updated from the D5300 to D5600, it was mainly because the D5600 went on sale and I felt that the price was good enough that I could buy it. That being said, I still use my D5300 the majority of the time because of the built-in GPS. The D5600 relies on the GPS of your smartphone. I would say that if you can get a good price on the D5600, you might consider upgrading from your D5100 for the increased resolution (24MP as opposed to 16MP) some additional features like Snapbridge which allows you to wirelessly transfer your photos to your cellphone so that you can more easily post it on social media.

I don't even log into this Chromebook with my own Google account and use it in "Guest" mode. The battery still allows me to use it for over an hour which is great when I'm watching television and just want to check something quickly on the internet. Thank you tyler sinou for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment/question. The SIM card that it uses is a microSIM card. In terms of whether this device will work with a Verizon SIM card, I'm in Canada and not familiar with the Verizon carrier in the US beyond the fact that they only allow certain devices on to use their network (i.e. I don't believe one can take an unlocked AT&T iPhone and use it on Verizon; it must be an iPhone specifically made for the Verizon network).

    I am an Verizon customer what nano sims card do I need or can I use my phone sims?

    • @lmcjipo6125
      @lmcjipo6125 3 роки тому

      Thank you tyler sinou for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment. It uses a microSIM card and not a nanoSIM card. In terms of whether you can use your phone's SIM card, it will depend on your carrier and whether they allow you to easily swap SIM cards between devices. I'm in Canada and with our carriers, we can generally swap SIM cards between our devices (there are certain exceptions for certain plans). What I mean is that I can take the SIM card which is in my Android phone and stick it into an iPhone (as long as the SIM card size is the same) and I don't need to inform the carrier about this before doing it. They know what device the SIM card is in anyways when the devices registers/connects itself onto their network.

    Quick question, Can this be connected to any provider and if so does it need an unlimited data plan with hotspot or just unlimited data plan? I’ve been looking at carriers and only some offer unlimited data and 40 gigs of hotspot

    • @lmcjipo6125
      @lmcjipo6125 3 роки тому

      Thank you Ever J Torres for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment. I believe that the device requires an account attached to a SIM card to have hotspot capabilities. If the carrier doesn't allow for hotspot, I don't believe that this device will work with that SIM card. One doesn't need an unlimited data plan with hotspot capabilities. Unlimited data just means not having to track one's usage. Unfortunately, I'm not able to test if this will work on an account without hotspot capabilities since my account does have the ability to hotspot. It also has unlimited data but that's irrelevant. Even if it didn't have unlimited data but had 100 GB of data (or another value), as long as the account is not completely blocked from using hotspot capabilities, you can use it in this device. The only thing is that if your carrier gives unlimited data but only 40 GB of hotspot, you can probably only use 40 GB on this device. If your carrier's plan comes with 40 GB and includes hotspot, you can use it in the device but depending on how your carrier handles overage (charging you extra, cutting off data completely, or throttling you down to 2G speeds), once you reach 40 GB, you will be subject to how your carrier handles data overage.

      @lmcjipo6125 3 роки тому

      Thank you Abbey Smith for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment. Yes, you need to update the firmware of your lens at some point. As mentioned in my video, I generally only update firmware for all my electronic devices if there is an issue with my existing device or the updated firmware contains a feature/fix that I am looking for. I don't update for the sake of updating to have the "latest and greatest". I subscribe to the philosophy, "if it isn't broke, don't attempt to 'fix' it" since you might be introducing additional issues. I can't tell you the number of times that I had software on my computer which was working fine and the software company released an updated version of the software for free and I attempted to update my computer's software only to have the software crash on my computer.

      Thank you Dead-End Productions [MTR] for taking the time to watch my video and post your comment. I would say that the L120 is not capable of photo burst mode (i.e. it can't take photos in rapid succession like my DSLR). I find my L120 slow when it comes to taking pictures. I haven't timed it but I would say that my Nikon L120 in an indoor setting can take approximately 1 picture every 1 second at camera maximum resolution where my DSLR can take approximately 4 or 5 photos per second in burst mode.

This is true but generally Nikon authentic batteries are made by their preferred company to specific standards. Certain other batteries which may work in Nikon cameras might not follow these standards which is why some batteries might produce an error message when they are inserted inside a device/camera which checks for these standards. The same thing can be said for certain ink cartridges and certain ink jet printers.

    Great video! I was lucky enough to purchase this 2011 relic in 2021 here in the Philippines for 3,000 pesos (around 60 USD). Still works fine for Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Google Docs, UA-cam and others, but some websites that require advanced PHP and JS would not work. You can no longer install apps on this thing, and sideloading extensions is a hassle. But the battery life is phenomenal - around 6-7 hours on a single charge. Maybe would just use this as my e-mail and media consumption device.
