      When I catch lake Erie not throwing waves, I'll give you what you ask for. The 4 blade prop with 23 pitch pushes it quite nicely.

  • @Outdoors_with_kg4muk_Wayne

    You realize that boat get amazing fuel economy compared too the two strokes I’d recommend changing to a stainless, steal prop less flex more power also you that 150 is a lot on that boat 3/4 throttle is more than enough.

      I put a 4 blade SS 23 inch prop on it for lake Erie and the Ohio River, it's the rev4, man what a difference it makes! Boat is much more responsive and that prop gives stern lift which is nice.

      I agree, unless I'm hauling some weight. I also plan on tettin it on the Ohio River to get so.e of them logs that float down river in spring. The water strip the bark for me so I don't have to. It does real well on that river with all the barges and larger boats. Barges can push som water and make some pretty large waves.

      Yes, it did. I'm glad I checked it before it messed up the shaft and seals or worse.

      It was 50 empty, full tank 2 people. I got my batteries in it, the bimini cover and fishing gear. I also have my chargers and isolators in in now. I got 1 more wire to run then I'll take it out to eastfork and run it again. I will be changing props though, moving to a 4 blade and trolling plate I'm making.

    Have you taken it out on Erie? If so, how did it ride?

      Hello. No, I haven't yet. Hopefully in mid-late April I will. I'm doing a few upgrades to the boat that I will post in a separate video. I had to fix the prop chatter I was experiencing, which I posted the video of the sound, issue and the fix for it. Lastly, I had to take it back and have the motor lowered on the jack plate because the motor sat up too high so I want to revisit the speed portion and see if that changed at all. Stay tuned.

      Yes, I was able to get it out on lake Erie. With the new prop it did fantastic. Can't wait til 3rd week of October to get out walleye fishing in the western basin. I'm not confident to go farther out yet lol

      with the prop that came with it, 45. I got that after fixing the prop chatter. Have a look at the video "PropChatterDiagnoseFix". After that fix, I got 45 @ 5000 rpm. I'm changing props and pitch to get around 75 MPH.

    • @danieldrazan6958
      @danieldrazan6958 2 роки тому

      @@thebountytheway7466 let us know if you actually get to 75 mph, that would be really impressive out of a 150hp. Are you running a jack plate with that motor

    • @thebountytheway7466

      @@danieldrazan6958 Howdy. Yeah, I'm running a 8" Bob's. I really like it. Using the prop selector from mercury, I picked out the Tempest Plus 27 pitch. Playing with the rpms, I can get 74 @5600 rpm. The range for that motor is 5000-5800. I could max it out but I don't see the reason. 200 rpm shy should be good enough. I just posted a video on how to fix the prop chatter with those things. Seems to be a hit or miss with folk, but I noticed it's happening across the board on the bigger outboards. It's a combo of torque, grease and hub choice. In particular, those 3 in combo. On mine, they had the thrust washer installed backwards along with the other stuff. I'll post a separate "upgrades" video when the rest of my stuff gets here. Just waiting on the electronic components. Have a blessed day.

      @@thebountytheway7466 You have Awesome boat sir no need to do all the ramping up rpm's enjoy your boat and take care of her, I'm looking at one at Bass Pro and some other places 2072 is the one I'm gonna get.

    • @thebountytheway7466
      @thebountytheway7466 2 роки тому

      @@damianledoux1 I really like the boat/motor combo. I picked the largest motor that the manufacturer recommends. I was kicking around the 115HP but looking at the command thrust model instead of the basic one. I chose the 150 and I found a site that I can purchase the lower unit in a jet which ends up basically just being a swap from prop lower to jet lower, which really interests me, especially during the dry summer months of late july-aug here in cinci. in a month and a half i'll be taking it to lake erie after I put some upgrades on it, which I'll post in a separate video in a week or 2.
