dude, honestly almost went right back into my sleeping rut. but, I overcame the extremely strong urge to be depressed today and went to the gym. 2 miles and 300 calories of cardio, and 1 hour and 30 minutes of lifting. feeling wayyyy better than I have in quite a while.

Saw "A Band of Angels" at age 11 in 1957 & knew that Clark Gable was still "The Man" even at age 56! At the end of his life, he was still in great demand, making at least a picture a year through the 1950's! It's hard to believe that still alive Sidney Poitier could have acted with Clark Gable, who died 61 years ago!
It's incredible how his movies still have such an impact! And with The Misfits being his last film, with such an age gap from Marilyn Monroe ... he still dominated the film and was such a great actor!

There are other similar movies than Gone with the wind, Band of angels or Tap roots. Tap roots is a very underrated Civil War movie.

I saw this movie when I was 7 years old. It was always in my memory till one day I happened to watch it on tv, I got the name and bought the vcr tape!!! Watched it for several time. He is still the king.
I watched this on TCM years ago and when it came on again I had to film this scene! Definitely left a memorable mark for sure!
