Whether it be a roadside pull-off on a long road trip or a deep woods journey way off grid people need peace and serenity or event solace in this world. Welcome this channel...where I'm going to share gear reviews, talk about places I've been or where I'm headed....but my goal is the same; help you find that place and do so with cool gadgets.
Igloo Trailmate Cooler - Love Em So Much I Got Two
I did a lot of homework and watched many videos on the best, rugged, and mobile coolers out there. That research brought me to the IGLOO Trailmate. Its super mobile, super feature rich and I know that when I pull that out of my truck in a campground setting it is going to turn some heads...because that's what it did for me when I saw it.
It's functional, it looks awesome, and has more bells and whistles than a train. Since I have two of them I plan to use one for food and one for drinks. I amy record another video because I plan to make a custom-fit Reflectix apron for them to keep them even more cool.
I mentioned in the video that one of the main keys to ice-retention is to pre-cool your coolers the day before you plan to use them. #cooler #camping #wheeledcooler

Lid doesn’t lock closed
You are correct....there is no intentional lock mechanism/holes.....however, you can easily use a cable (similar to one you would use to secure the cooler to your RV or a tree or something) and fit it into the groove meant for the smart device on the lid. I hope that idea helps....but yes you are spot on, there was no intentionally designed place to lock the lid. Cheers!
Bought a better one from Academy
@Vjl246 What did you buy
0:52 that’s what she said !!
Igloo coolers are nothing but garbage
Yetis and orca and frostedFrog....those are all good too. Not slamming anyone. I just love mine.
Agree to disagree… But I honestly love using the igloo coolers! my family and I have used them our whole lives when going camping or to the beach and they are really useful and helpful.
The regular igloos are good for the price.I gotta say I bought one of these trail ones and for $280 I had to return it. It is loaded with great features but the drain plug inside of the cooler would spin(Only the cover should spin/not the treaded plug inside the coolers wall) and leak. All of them were scuffed up in the store(Maybe thats Dicks Sporting Goods fault) but for $280 it should be in mint condition and I should be the one scuffing it up over the years. I want to love it because it shits on Yeti as far as features go: storable sandwich/snack tray, umbrella/fishing pole holders, big tires, big handle for pulling, 2 bottle openers, the look. And a yeti is $120 more but is only a “bear-proof” cooler with rolling wheels and a pull bar. I don’t know which way to go.
Youre dumb
Good call on the umbrella holders.
Thank you! They have really come in handy and definitely look awesome. Putting an umbrella over these too can help keep them cool if in the direct sun.
