well he's easily addable in ctgp! apart from having to manually add some files also the console safe version uses lower resolution textures but honestly because of the wii's ass output it actually doesnt look too bad (it does in dolphin though when upscaled)

never thought about it that way and honesetly i kind of kept forgetting about the outlines when i played the games lol but i did notice that color splash put a bit more emphasis on the flappiness and had those smooth motion blur effects in some sprites (i wish they brought that back in origami king...), i was actually planning on removing the outlines at first but i didn't think it would look good with the animations i've added the good thing is that the sprites can be easily changed to anything else so if someone is willing to do those uneven scissor cuts it's possible ^^

it sadly ruins the perspective completely as i think the parent bone (skl_root) needs to be set to billboard in order for it to work properly, but most of mario's animations use that bone soo 😭😭

You're right about that last part, origami king afaik doesnt even acknowledge or care about water touching paper the water vellumental fight says enough 😭 also not to mention the fact that mario can walk in water in both color splash and origami king with no problems as well also never made any sense to me lol

@dutchmvp26 And also that he's submerged in water in Chapter 3 of Super but then needs a bubble to be underwater when playing Snifit or Whifit but does fine in fountains in every game

@@saltendo2177 Super wasnt too keen about the whole "everything is paper" thing though so I didn't really find that odd but bro youre right about the snifit or whifit thing too, its just very inconsistent 😭😭

I assume that the water and fire in the paper world is usually also paper and therefore works like it does for the non-paper mario cast. With instances where paper characters interact with "real" water and the such being in paper jam and some thing cards. They did add Inklings in 8DX and they can't go in water in their main series, so I don't think Nintendo really cares about being 100% lore accurate all the time in mario kart tbh.

@EliteOcto honestly it's understandable, seems too much of a hassle to add those traits only for specific characters. mkwii's characters for example are lazy af, every model from double dash was reused and the new characters mostly shared animations from other characters and some of them were just made using existing models as a base (funky kong is literally just a reskin of donkey kong)

i appreciate it! i spent about a month on getting this to work for one vehicle because it was incredibly new to me 😭 since characters are like puppets in ttyd/spm the original character animations dont work for obvious reasons and i had to manually animate every single animation myself and it was HELL.

would want that, but luigi's not a playable character so he barely has any textures for the pieces 😔

the fact that nintendo considers metal mario to be its own character now and leave paper mario who's actually unique in the dust is heartbreaking ngl 😭😭😭

But I gave up as I couldnt find a way to put an M on the kart instead of an L 😭 that was years ago though, might try it again and see what i can do that first idea is also a good idea and it should only take me a few seconds to make (but i still have to replace the model for every course) so thank u ^^

your brother is based, but sadly this pack (if u put the music aside) only works on dolphin bc it crashes a lot on wii 😭 also a lot of textures i made for the tracks are extremely mediocre due to me being ass at photo editing if he still wants it though lmk!! illl gladly send everything ^^

@@dutchmvp26 While Tour is a mobile game, they put 16 bit sprites in the game as playable characters, so I don't think it would be too impossible for Paper Mario.

turns out it still crashed on console, but ive updated the mod again so this issue should be solved now

​@@LuigiMan2401 it's the one from the wiki, but honestly its extremely outdated as back then I used a different method for putting sprites in the game and I've been thinking about updating it, but you can essentially just use paper mario as a template and replace the sprites too if you want ^^

its 2 flat planes put together with the full thing rigged to one bone and 2 parts of the top being rigged to 2 other bones. I just applied textures to it, after that transparency is applied to the model so u can basically put any sprite or drawing you want onto the model and it works

Hey so I’m not good with adding mods and stuff, how do I make it work on dolphin emulator for android? I’ve only ever added a custom character model to Mario kart DS a few years back and even that was confusing

UPDATE: There are indeed issues with lag in multiplayer mode and sometimes it crashes in singleplayer mode, however i have already fixed the issue by resizing the textures and i will update the downloads on both sites soon!! (tomorrow at the end of the day at most)
