Plant Physiology Webinar: Hypoxia in Plants
The January 2025 Focus Issue of Plant Physiology, edited by Rashmi Sasidharan, Markus Schwarzländer, Pierdomenico Perata, Peter Geigenberger and Julia Bailey-Serres, spotlights research on hypoxia in plants. Oxygen is essential for efficient aerobic energy generation in plant cells. However, plant cells and tissues are often subject to fluctuations in oxygen levels. An imbalance between demand and availability can lead to cellular hypoxia. Hypoxia has been associated with environmental conditions like flooding, but also ice encasement, microgravity, high elevations, and microbial interactions.
This webinar features speakers Bart Nicolaï, Amanda Cardoso, Motoyuki Ashikari, and Beatrice Giuntoli, who share findings from their work appearing in this Focus Issue. The webinar is hosted by Plant Physiology editor Rashmi Sasidharan and is moderated by Plant Physiology Assistant Features Editor Alicja Kunkowska.

Plant Cell webinar: Photosynthesis
Переглядів 9383 місяці тому
It is difficult to overstate the importance of photosynthesis to life on Earth. Despite its importance, critical gaps remain in our understanding of photosynthesis, its interplay with other metabolic pathways, and the adaptation and acclimation processes that allow photosynthetic organisms to live almost everywhere on our planet. Filling these gaps will aid in improving the efficiency of photos...

When the new webinar Will be conduct please share link with me by reply section Thanks
I didn't get certificate.
Hi sir when will be conduct the new webinar please share the link with
So informative webinar I attended few days before
Have you ever done a webinar on plant electrophsiology?
You said it all Dr. Daniel Ofosu
Awesome webinar! Learned a lot, very interesting
we need more interesting webinars on heat stress and meiosis
Please do consider Workshops as well, it will be a great service for students from developing countries.
In webinar series, include lab trainings, workshops etc. This will serves as a ready reference to the students and faculty from developing countries like Pakistan, India, Iran, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Egypt, Nigeria etc. New bioinformatics tools for genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, Phenotyping, Image analysis, confocal microscopy for root, leaf, in wheat, maize, Ca Signaling ...
Hello. Your content is amazing. Can I suggest growing your UA-cam channel?
Thanks Ruth and thanks to ASPB. joining ASPB as an international member in 2021 has added value to my career and CV, just like Ruth said. Importantly, it helps me to connect with plant biologist in different parts of the world. I only hope someday i will attend Plant Biology conference in person😊. Idowu❤
Ok i'm flapping about in a 3 year wake of time, but: wow what a fabulous collection of fascinating research, am loving your approach, guys! Loving how you're looking at studying things 'out of context', which is good for a limited amount of understanding of how Nature works, and comparing in-context observations. Like with humans, it's all about relationships. Yeah, what 'works like magic' - see "green revolution" 🤢efforts - let's not be so keen to achieve instant results until we know the full and true consequences of our interference with the health of our beautiful Home World and us humans... grave mistakes were made/ are being made, but things are looking up! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 🌳🕊💚
Thanks for uploading!
Dr Boyer was my PhD advisor and I worked in his lab for 11 years. He is a humble and undeniable genius.
Very useful and enlightening views for everyone on how to accept the challanges in professional and personal fronts
Thanks for making this video available to everyone. Lot of helpful information for preparing job application.

Someone didn't understand the exercise...
What was the target of all these pitches? highschool students? other researchers? a neighbor?
English please
Sorry Eduardo, this lecture was presented in Chinese only.
The response to the significance of translational plant science by Dr Jonathan Lynch is true to its core because it will also generate fundamental new knowledge in addition to solving real world problem. So invest more on translational science instead of just spending much more on basic research.
Thank you for uploading.
Thanks Professor Hong Ma and Prof. Gustavo Macintosh , It is pleasure to know about your personal story and motivation.--regards From Sushma Naithani, OSU, Corvallis
I can't wait to read Dr. Montgomery's book. I am listening to her on NPR's "1A" at this very moment. What a resume!
Thank you very much for this webinar. I learnt a lot as a PhD Candidate.
Thank you every speakers for nice presentation.
Thanks to this talk, I have found my new role model.
The are nice for learning but please put enough notes about topic in show notes and also in the advert short itself.
Thanks for this suggestion! We've added show notes to the description.
Hi dude. I liked the content so much! I've been trying to search for video like yours that teaches the topics in this UA-cam video! 🧑🏻⚕️ 🥼Your content really reminds me of the channel of Doctor Ethan! Dr's tips are totally knowledgable and he actually helped me a lot on my diet. I recommend you watch his channel out and give the health enthusiast a subscribe! ➡️ #DrEthanOnUA-cam
Amazing talks. A question for Edith that I hope she could answer. Thinking about the additional player that could be regulating the asymmetric division, do you think it could be positional information that may be informing the mechanisms guiding the cell division axis? Also, it has been shown that SHR is a transcriptional regulator that requires other proteins to bind DNA (Hirano et al., 2017). Does that impact on the design of constructions that you've made?
Killin the uploads 😁 You ought to enjoy my mates channel also. He has the latest Honda info. Sus him out --> #BCAutosolutions 👏🏼🚙
