How to make a minimalist Design silver ring
Hi, I'm YonYon, the jewelry adventurer.
Hello! It's been a while since I've uploaded a video, but I've been really busy lately.
This video is about a gorgeous silver ring with a clean and minimalist design. I used cubic zirconia stones in a flush setting to create a cleaner design. The red and blue stones are the centrepiece of the design and are set on both sides at different angles. You can easily switch up the look by turning the ring around to wear it so it doesn't get boring.
Let me know if you'd like to order a ring :)
What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
Please enjoy the video!. And thank you for watching.
And please don't forget to subscribe and Likes! :)

Hi, I'm YonYon, the jewelry adventurer. This one was my first appempt for Keum-boo, which is really cool technique from acient Korea with using of thin gold foil "Keum-boo (also Geumbu, Kum-Boo or Kum-bu-Korean "attached gold") is an ancient Korean gilding technique used to apply thin sheets of gold to silver, to make silver-gilt. Traditionally, this technique is accomplished by first depleting...
Jewelry making with metal folding technique.

Hi, I'm YonYon, the jewelry adventurer. I made a Sculptural Necklace with copper sheet 0.5 mm. If you want to fold 0.5 mm copper or precious metal sheets like I do, I recommend using 0.8 mm thick wire. It takes quite a bit of practice to hit it with a hammer. testing it on another plate and getting a feel for it. Please enjoy the video!. And thank you for watching. And please don't forget to su...

Amazing! What are the chemical processes you are putting them through. Never seen anything like it.
Most ppl do this with Keum Boo foil which is a bit thicker and easier to control. The gold leaf looks like a nightmare. Looks great though! Apparently you can also use clearfyre or G-glue to fix it before fusing it.
Neat idea! Just don't gift it to anyone with a pacemaker...
A bit off topic but I have to ask, did I see you use glue to hold the shank to the top before soldering!?!? I’ve always wondered if that would work - it’s brilliant! What kind of glue did you use?
I LOVE this video and the way you think outside the box with multiple gold layers. I am amazed that this is edible gold 😆 OMG, this is one of my favourite tutorials ever. I also enjoyed all the little videos witnessing your attempts😅😂 those were just the cherry on top of the cake. ❤
No depletion guilding first? Need to depletion guild first to bring the fine silver comes to the surface.
I need more you are genius Deserve " Nobel Prize " 👍 👍
I love that you show your mistakes! Brilliant

У тебя, на удивление, мало подписчиков. Очень жаль!
Это шикарно! Продолжай свой не лёгкий труд!
Thank you 😉
I had similar results with one sheet of leaf - just a hint of gold tint. Pretty, but not what I was after. I never even thought of adding leaves together before trying to bond them to the silver. I wonder if folding and hammering them more might make them more durable in the ultrasound? Great tip though. Will definitely give it a go.
I'm glad to hear that my video was at least a little helpful. Thanks for commenting as well. I'm guessing hammering will result in uneven thickness of the gold leaf, but I think it also can be a cool effect if done with the right intentions.😉

That's very clever.
Very cool pin!
Thank you 😻
Thank you for showing the background checkering technique/tool. It fills in some knowledge gaps for me. Would you suggest someone practice with copper wire or what?
Thank you for watching my video. I used to practice with copper wire. I used to use 0.2-3 mm copper wire after annealing it. I don't think it's possible to work with anything other than pure gold, pure silver, or copper. After working with copper, I felt it was harder than silver wire. If I get a chance, I'll try to make a video about it.
That’s a clever trick - embossing a fold line using a pre bent wire. I wager you could make use of that in so many applications. And I think the overall effect is so good that it deserves more than a black fiber cord.
The way the braid echoes the undulating lines of the metal and contrasts so much in texture to the copper, makes the chord a nice touch. Not everything is measured in the price of a gram. Fiber and handmade rope are the new gold chain. Metal formfolding, as it's commonly known, is a cool technique if you want to look into it more.
Awesome 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
❤❤❤😮 that idea is the coolest I have seen in new jewelry yet that’s pretty awesome. Great job.😊
Thank you for your comment! 💎 it means a lot 😉
Lindo!❤
Thank you 💎
Really Amazing work bro❤
Thank you so much! :)
how to learn this inlay technique
Hi i basically taught myself this technique with this video. Sorry but it’s in Korean. ua-cam.com/video/tV0t2t_O-XI/v-deo.htmlsi=E4fmh4dw4B_3U8MD She is the master of the technique in south korea.
발전된 모습이 보이네여❤❤❤
Brilliant
Thank you :)
As a freelance jeweler, you need to save every penny. Sometimes you're in a hurry and need to make a new tool out of a used one quickly, or you just need a smaller diameter sandpaper roll. You can easily remake a used sandpaper roll grinder out of used sandpaper paper. 1. wrap the used sandpaper in a counterclockwise direction 2. Wrap a piece of transparent tape around it 3. Glue the ends of the sandpaper with superglue. Thank you for watching and keep working safely!
I'm telling you man you got to use gold wire or something man the death type of wire is too weak
성공과 번영을 기원합니다❤❤❤

Nice 👌👌
Thanks 😊
Cool design but considering how its the size of over 2 of your fingers combined, its best left as a show piece
Thank you for your comment and insight! I am just trying to expand the border of jewelry with various materials and techniques.
